Quality of the air we breathe
The results from this monitor (now in use for several months ) are a real eye opener, it showed that a nice fresh cool east wind was in fact quite contaminated ( I am in west London). It showed that a north west wind was the cleanest. It gives a very clear indication as to when the outside air is clean enough to allow you to open windows. It is not a cheap monitor ,if it were cheaper , one would get a second unit to use as an external monitor , to provide local information available to anyone in that area. In short this is a very useful and important instrument !

Very air quality good monitor but lacks Smart connectivity
The IQAir Visual Pro was easy to set up and has been working fine for the past 2 years. Unlike the majority of monitors this one also shows the outside air quality, temperature and humidity, that is obtained from local air quality monitoring stations. Using the App it also has historical data from the past 12 months and emails you a monthly report. The one big disappointment with the IQAir Visual Pro is that the only "Smart" communication it has with other Smart things like air purifiers and fans is via IFTTT. Up until recently that wasn't a problem because I could control my Levoit air purifier via IFTTT. But now the VeSync App used with the Levoit products recently stopped support for use with IFTTT. Levoit products have Alexa so I thought no problem, I would use the Alexa/IFTTT connector to contol the air purifier from the IQAir. But Amazon have also withdrawn support for IFTTT. So now I either have to keep the air purifier on continously or switch it on when I notice the IQAir show the air quality is not good. A long time ago I contacted IQAir and asked for Alexa support to be added but was told that if it happened it wouldn't be soon. I recently asked IQAir again for Alexa support to be added and was told my suggestion would be added to their roadmap to see how it aligns with their future plans.

not cheap but highly recommended
highly recommended but not cheap .... Loads of features and information on local air quality. Information can be viewed on the large 5 inch colour display, app via smartphone (I use android) or on line. I like the feature on co2 levels, as it tells you when its stuffy and prompts action ...... Have got it sitting next to an LaserEgg air quality sensor and the readings are remarkably similar. It can also be set up to report publicly on line and once authorised can be seen by others. In summary you get what you pay for and this is my opinion is the best all round air quality sensor of the three different makes I have.

Poor reliability and very inaccurate CO2 readings
I've got 4 of these monitors in various rooms round the house. The oldest is 5 years old and the newest bought a year or so ago. They have a nice display and very user friendly. Information presented in an easy to digest format. However there are two significant issues. Number one is the failure rate. My 5 year old monitor has just packed up. Its still working ( You can hear the fan ) but the display is blank! No amount of resetting by switching fully off and on has helped. Ironically I set the screen to lowest brightness and had it automatically switch off every night to extend the device's lifespan. A second monitor - about 4 years old - has had it battery pack up. As long as its plugged in the the mains via USB its fine - but within 10 seconds of taking power away it dies. The other big issue that is a problem for all 4 monitors is their CO2 accuracy. I noticed they reported CO2 levels 40% lower than another device ( Aranet4 ) . I assumed the device was incorrect but read a review that it was very accurate. I borrowed a friends professional calibrated CO2 monitor and discovered it was the Aranet4 that was correct and the AirVisual that was underestimating CO2 by about 40 -50% I suspect the reason is the AirVisual's auto CO2 calibration. Over time it automatically adjusts CO2 readings. But I think because my rooms CO2 doesn't often go below 600ppm and is often 900ppm the monitor is using that as a baseline. With many CO2 monitors you can switch off auto calibration and do a manual calibration instead. But the AirVisual no longer seems to have this as an option. With Aranet CO2 monitors I put them outside and engage manual calibration via the app. Doing this every 6 months seems to prevent the inaccuracy you see with the AirVisual. While in many ways the AirVisual is a lovely device - it looks nice and has some useful features - I don't think I'd be buying another one due to the high failure rate and poor CO2 accuracy.

Great little air quality device
This is a nicely designed device that gives you the air quality info for indoors and outdoors (if you place it in the right position and connect it to wifi). I have not really taken any action as a result but it gives me the peace of mind that the air quality is good where I am. If it were worse then I may have considered somehow taking action.

An interesting (but expensive) device but sadly the temperature reading is inaccurate
I bought this to monitor the air pollution year-round where I live. Unfortunately there doesn't (yet) seem to be a public outdoor sensor to enable me to compare my interior readings with an external ambient source. If the price was lower I would buy another one but the rather high price precludes that. Unfortunately the thermometer readings seem inaccurate when compared with two other ( different ) devices in the immediate vicinity.

Indispensable with air purifiers
Surprisingly useful! I started to pay more target ion to air quality and using air purifiers more efficiently.
