Patience is a must.

This is OEM remote for 65EG9600 from 2015. All the other magic remotes have NETFLIX, AMAZON BUTTONS etc. They did not register. This one did not register at first. Turned TV off then on, de-registered more than once. Held exit button and then tried to register. Had to wait at least 15 seconds. It registered,and needed another 30 seconds. WORKS PERFECTLY. Pointer and all. Do not know about battery life, yet.

Finally I found this remote after multiple attempts to replace the remote of my 42lf6500 TV. It feels exactly like my old remote which lasted for 10 years.
