This book is amazing! I'm a complete newcomer to homeopathy and ordered (and read!) this book before I went for my first consultation with a homeopath. I was delighted to see that she also uses it amongst her reference books when treating her patients - it had pride of place on her desk. I've since lent it to family and friends, and they are now in the process of visiting homeopaths on a regular basis. It's beautifully simple to understand and an interesting read from the outset.

Well i have the old version in hardback... which helped me whilst my 2 children were growing up... as well as consulting a very good, qualified homoeoopath... so as my partner was looking at mine with intrigue, and my daugher (now 22) has some remedies since being at Uni, so i bought this as presents for them, and a lighter version for me... and in case there were any updates... which i don't think there are... But this book has been a life saver for me over the last 25 years... it has the Materia Medica, ideal for family use, and how to prescribe and Repertory... many thanks.

This is an extremely useful and in depth book for use in the home. It offers a useful insight into the history of homeopathic medicine, external and internal remedies and lots of essential information. It is the second copy I have owned as the previous one started to become very well thumbed. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about this form of alternative medicine and any other book or resource you can find by Miranda Castro.

Decent book of homeopathic remedies, but just take precautions and individually research the herbs' effects on the human body as you should if you think you've found something to help you. General rule of thumb however to not ingest monkshood or belladonna etc. which this book references. Each flower, insect and so on is given a drawn image with some general information on it alongside paragraphs of uses. Handy if you need to look up something for basic ailments you can treat at home, such as the common cold.

I am really happy I have bought this book. It is so good and explains really a lot to someone who is just literally starting with the subject. Plus it's written in quite easy language which is important to me as English is not my first language. I read it through really quick.

Great starter book for anyone interested in homeopathy, a bit confusing at the start as to how to use it but fantastic once you get going with it, I would highly recommend it !!

This book has helped us to build our confidence in using homeopathy in first aid at home, having consulted a homeopath for over 20 years. It is easy to understand and detailed enough for most home situations.

A lot of detail in this book, a must for anyone who is starting their homeopathy journey

I wanted to learn more about homeopathy and dig a little deeper into the subject matter. This is a fantastic book that is so easy to read (I actually could not put it down!), well organized and yet very comprehensive. I highly recommend it if you are new to the subject and want to learn more. In the intro, it gives a quick overview on how the book is organized and how to use it, so you know exactly how to go about it. This is knowledge that everyone should have, regardless if you are going all the way to natural remedies or just the occasional relief for minor health issues. At least you will know that you have options.

A must have homeopathy book in your library. Very happy with my purchase. I use it everyday, it’s very detailed on what does what. I highly recommend it!
