Question 1

Is there just one cable for power and recording to the camera or two? do they record audio and lastly can a USB stick be used to take video off disk.

Accepted Answer

Dear customer,Thanks for your question here.As you mentioned “Is there just one cable for power and recording to the camera or two”, the item will come with 2 adapters, one is for the system and the other is for the cameras. You can connect the adapter to 1/4 splitter to power on 4 camera together in order to make the whole system work. For your second question, we are sorry that the system doesn’t record audio. If you would like to see the recording with sound, please buy a microphone and refer to the link below to connect it to the system.http://www.annke.com/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=9&id=101&artlang=enAnd you are able to back up the video from the hard drive to your USB stick. Here is the method for you.http://www.annke.com/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=9&id=49&artlang=enAny problem about the system, please feel free to contact us. We are always here to assist you.Best Regards,

Question 2

Can I view all 8 cameras on the monitor at the same time?

Accepted Answer

The software allows up to 64 cameras!! I only have 4 which is fine. Using the software you can look at 1 camera full screen or all 4 or 8 or 12 etc, the more cameras the smaller the picture of course, the answer to your question is yes. I can also view all 4 cameras on my phone but I don't think it has provision for anymore, but there again I only have a 4 camera system. Hope this helps, there is one downside in that I can't get the alert system to work ie I am unable to set up the system to e mail me when motion is detected which it is supposed to do.

Question 3

Can I connect a ptz camera and control it remotely with my smart phone?

Accepted Answer

YES. You can. There are many types of DVR/NVR and camera in market and not every camera can work with any DVR/NVR. It is complicated to judge what type your camera is and what DVR/NVR yours is compatible with. Here is for your reference. http://www.annke.com/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=11&id=170&artlang=enTherefore, we hope you can inform us your camera's brand, exact model, or send us your camera's specification link so that we can judge if it is compatible with this camera.
