Great ticket to ride extension pack game featuring India and Switzerland
I started with Europe, then brought the Nordic ticket to ride and have now got this extension pack that features a double sided board and two packs of destination cards for both countries. One side is India at the time of the Raj and the other side is Switzerland with bordering countries shown. Please note that you need to have ticket to ride USA or Europe to play it as there are no 'train pieces', 'counters' or 'carriage cards'. Although the premises of all ticket to ride games are similiar - each country always has slight differences. The India game is good for just 2 or 3 players as you can get quite competitive trying to take control of all the tiny routes in the middle of India. There is also extra points if you have encircled your destinations in a 'mandela'. I quite enjoy this, but it is not worth trying to create them especially as you could get as many points taking the longer routes around the coast which are worth a lot of points. Switzerland is very different - and because it features the boundaries of France, Germany, Italy and Austria on the board, you need to be quite strategic in your thinking to get a route into these additional countries. A lot of the destination cards give you a huge amount of extra points if you have. So it is not only about the number of destinations that you have covered but also how many of the cards you have picked up that give you extra points for connecting all the other european countries. As with all ticket to ride games this extension pack is well made and attractive. The games strategies and ways of getting points are very different so each country provides a good contrast. I have thoroughly enjoyed both countries - India is better with just a couple of players, Switzerland with more.

Excellent addition to the Ticket to Ride family of games
This is an excellent addition to the Ticket to Ride family of games - it adds new cards and new issues - so new challenges. After the original ticket to ride and Europe ticket to ride this is the next best and great because of the new map and new terrain cards which simulates the difficulty of building railways into the 'heart of darkness'. Please note this is an expandsion pack and you must have the original Ticket to Ride to play - as you need the pieces and cards from the main game.

Great games.
As a family we love all the ticket to ride games. They are great fun to play and every time they are played it's a different outcome. Hours of fun in a box

Expansion with two worthwhile maps
After getting the hang of Ticket to Ride Europe, this expansion seemed an interesting alternative. THIS IS AN EXPANSION, you need Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride Europe to be able to use this. Although the box says that this is India, this also contains the map and rules for Switzerland. India and Switzerland are both more crowded than the big, open European map and with India especially, there is a lot of congestion, even with two players which can create some quite fun chaos. The Switzerland map contains a lot of tunnels and is a bit smaller which makes for a faster game, it's well suited for few players. Over all, Ticket to Ride Europe remains the favourite in my family but these are nice for variety.

Great addition to original game
This is an extension pack for the original Ticket to Ride game. I think each version of the game has slight differences apart from the new maps which keep it interesting. This is such a great game, we’ve played with loads of different people (some of whom were not keen to play a board game, but were soon hooked) everyone has really loved this game.

India not so good, Switzerland very good
I already read some reviews which were confirmed by the purchase. India is kind of boring and it's almost impossible to have as many mandalas to reach the end goal. We even bent some rules but it was still a dull game. On the other hand, Switzerland is perfect for 2-3 players when you don't have enough people for the original Ticket To Ride. It's very fun, fast and swarming with tunnels. Some game mechanics are changed due to the map design and Alan R. Moon did a terrific job making this board. It's worth a purchase only because of this map.

Two for the price of one.
Two new games are provided by this expansion, India and Switzerland. The double-sided map board opens to the same size as the original "Ticket to Ride Europe" and there are two sets of new "ticket" cards. (For those not used to the concept of an "expansion, you use the playing pieces from your original game, and you cannot play either of these new games without owning the original). India adds a new concept, namely a "Mandala" or circular route between the 2 places on your ticket. Switzerland introduces the idea of city to country (or even country to country) which gives flexibility in gaining routes. There are also minor variations to the "tunnel" rules and locomotive cards. Rules are close enough to the original game to be easy to pick up, but different enough to add interesting variety.

Great addition to ticket to ride
Hard core ticket to ride fans only! This is great fun and lots of fun (as you expect with ticket to ride) and introduces a new game mechanic without being overly complex and introducing dozens of counters and tokens (like ttr Netherlands or marklin). The art work is beautiful (again as usual) and the board itself is finely crafted. And the price (provided you get it at rrp) makes it a bargain!

Great extenstion!
Great game that works as an extenstion to the original Ticket to Ride - It includes both India and Switzerland so you're not just buying an extension of one new geography but two!
