I have opened and used one and it writes smoothly with no excess ink dropped. It is a genuine refill, and I have bought from them before successfully.

I acquired a pen from my elderly Grandad who can longer write, but the ink had run dry. As it was obviously quite an expensive schaeffer pen, I decided to get the genuine refills and am I glad I did. The flow is lovely, the colour of the ink is nice and it has so far lasted months on daily writing. Easy to fit and obviously a perfect size for the pen, Will definitely use again.

Incredibly, I received the refill the day after ordering, and it fitted a 1980's Sheaffer pen like a glove. Am now able to use the pen my late mother used when I was growing up. So glad you can still get refills, and I was only able to get them from Amazon as no stores around me sold them. Even if I could, Amazon's price was exceptionably unbeatable!
