Coin-counting piggy bank we actually enjoy using
We love this piggy bank that counts each coin as it’s inserted. Normally, I just throw loose change into an empty jar, but my wife and I wanted something bigger where we could actually see how much we’re saving as it adds up. Watching the total increase with each coin has been surprisingly fun. Even with a small amount so far, we’re already at around $18. Sometimes the coins can be a little hard to push into the slot, but the counter itself has been accurate every time. We even tested putting in two coins at once, and it counted both correctly, which is a nice bonus if you’re trying to get through a lot of change quickly. My wife’s favorite color is blue, so we were happy this one came in that option. It also has a handle, which makes it easier to move around—especially as it starts getting heavier. It’s on the bulkier side, but the square shape makes storage easy. If you want to dump coins in quickly, the opening is large enough, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the counting feature. Still, it’s nice to have when it’s time to empty it out and take everything to a coin machine or the bank. My wife is most excited for the day it’s completely full so we can see how accurate the displayed amount is compared to what we actually get back in cash. Just a heads-up: you’ll need two AAA batteries and a small screwdriver to set up the counting mechanism. Overall, the price is great for the quality and the amount of coins it can hold, and it’s been a fun and motivating way for us to save our change.

Good coin saver with counter, blue plastic container
Good size for storing coins. The counter is accurate and the users manual explains how to use it. It will get heavy because it is large! My only problem was the blue color of the plastic jug. i would have preferred clear.

So fun and convenient
Exactly what I was looking for. I love how it keeps track of the change that goes in. It is a little hard to push the coins through the slot but once I figured out to kind of push at an angle and hard, it was great

Perfect tool for a 10yo
This piggy bank works well. My 10yo son had a blast putting all his loose change inside the jar. It requires 2 triple A batteries and to reset the counter, inside the cap(underneath) there is a tiny reset button to reset the counter. You’ll want to push that in to reset your coin counter and erase the memory. This fun tool helps my 10yo son recognize which coin is which and how to add the coins in his mind. It’s super easy to operate. I did not have to read the instruction and I figured it out by trial and error like everything else I do. It’s a perfect tool.

Dangerous Product - Zero Stars - RETURNED
Looks good on paper, but received this today and it didn't work. I had put two new Duracell AAA batteries in the item and got no response when inserting coins or pushing buttons. After 5 minutes I opened the battery compartment again and the two batteries had started melting and were too hot to touch. After removing the batteries I checked with a DMM and there was a short somewhere that caused the heatup. If I had ignored it for a while longer things possibly could have gotten worse. Probably a manufacturing error, but highly recommended to not buy this. Returned for a full refund.
