SimplexHealth Water pH Test Strips 5.5-9.0 Range & Two Pad Universal for Acid...

During the long summer draught I needed rain water for my carnivorous plants but my tap water is PH 8 and the plants need PH 6.5. With the help of these strips and a little experimentation I found I could dose the tap water with cider vinegar to lower the PH. If you need to do this do not use malt vinegar as this is not sufficiently acidic. These strips are a great product, easy to use and consistent. Allow at least 30 seconds after wetting before comparing with the colour chart.

I bought two packs to use when testing heating systems. The expiry date on both was out by well over a year. Returned, very disappointing. In date it may be a perfectly good product but cannot comment on that.

Quality product and service. I am testing a borehole water system in order to achieve the best balance between acid water and the vessel of alkaline medium. These strips are simple and clear to use and are most helpful. The delivery was also very quick and efficient. Thanks.

I found these really helpful after my cheap PH pen started to produce errors after a year of use. The narrower spectrum provides a little more accuracy at the levels indicated. The strips are calibrated for around 6.5 ph which is really helpful for me, as if I dip into my solution and nothing changes I am at 6.5. If it starts to darken and go slightly green I am drifting toward 7 ph. If the top strip starts to turn a deeper orange/pink colour then I am drifting under 6 ph. All in all a decent replacement for an electrical pen in some circumstances. No calibration needed and great for measuring run off.

Didn’t work,I tried 3 strips in different solutions and the results were the same

I bought this as I disliked the idea of having to calibrate an electric tester so I went for quick and simple strips. Just wet them and hold the colour tab up to the colour chart and the matching colours represents the ph level, have used it quite a bit so far with no issues!

Et devinez quoi, elles testent le PH, affichent un code couleur qui correspond à un chiffre, bref, elles font leur boulot.

Ottimo per misurare il ph dell'acqua, più veritiero di quelli elettronici.

Les bandelettes sont plutôt précises, La boîte extérieure est en carton. Difficile à ouvrir ; mais faisable. A l'intérieur, une boite en plastique, avec un couvercle emboîté dessus. Et là, impossible de l'ouvrir ; il est resté sourd à toutes mes sollicitations..Il a fallu que je le casse, avec une pince, pour accéder à l'intérieur... Cela n'enlève en rien à la qualité des bandelettes, mais ce n'est pas vraiment pratique...

Ne ho provate di diverse marche ma queste funzionano meglio, molto precise nella scala di colori, ne prendero delle altre.

La 1ère ligne de couleur semble pertinente, par contre la seconde ligne en nuances de vert ne l'est pas du tout.
