Bought this for my nephew for Xmas as he is getting a keyboard. Looks like a lovely, easy to follow book - nice clear diagrams and photos, ideal for kids, and easy well-known tunes for him to play. He's going to love this !

My mistake

Arrived promptly but package damaged. Looks good but unused yet as present

Great for my 6 year old who is keen to learn the keyboard. Starts with the very basics and simple enough for him to work through on his own.

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson. He has shown an interest in my old untuned piano. Decided to buy a keyboard to be more current. This book is fabulous for kids. It introduces one note and one other concept (like a quarter note) at a time. Baby steps. He loves learning this and is so proud of himself. Today he played a new piece for the first time and nailed it on the first try! As a former elementary school teacher, my philosophy was always "keep it simple, make it fun". That's what this book does. It won't be long before he can start using special keyboard buttons. He will love it as he has played around with these features and loves the sounds he can create. Best way for a child to learn something that will last a lifetime

My daughter wanted a keyboard for Christmas, so I got this book to go along with it. In just a few hours, she was playing Mary Had a Little Lamb and a few other songs. The book is easy to read and understand, and my daughter says it's fun. It teaches how to read sheet music and beginners chords, and other things that will be helpful if she decides to take lessons. Well worth the price!
