Bastien Piano Basics Level 4 - Four Book Set - Includes Level 4 Piano, Theory, Technic, and Performance Books

I have been teaching piano to young students for quite a few year, on and off, and this is one of the better course I have found. Using my own experiences (playing for over 50 years) I do deviate from time to time, but that is purely subjective based on individual student. I also supplement/reinforce with some of my own material and compositions. Since I am retired, I only have taken on one student, my 12 year old grandson who started out with the Primer course a few years back. He has advanced the first few years quite well using this series of courses (I also purchased Primer, and Levels 1, 2 and 3, as well as "Line A Day" sight reading exercises). Overall, the Bastien courses are laid out well and each course is presented across four books (Theory, Technic, Piano and Performance), which are closely knit. Overall, good courses at a good price. I will use these again if his younger brothers decide they want to learn (soon I hope).

Advanced level of songs. Contains technic, piano, theory and performance music. The four books work together to develop a strong foundation in playing, practicing, reading and understanding music theory. Great for someone who has been developing skills and ability after Level 3, and is now ready to hire a professional instructor.
