My Flat is apparently not earthed. No idea what to do!

Your flat will be earthed at the distribution board/fusebox. It could be that the cpc/earth might be loose in the socket. Please get a competent person to check for you.

Does this test for earthing. To confirm that it is earthed?

When you plug it into the wall socket it has the capability to tell you if the plug socket is not earthed. See label on plug in tester which explains the relevant displays and what they mean.

Can this check for no power at the socket ? For installing to sockets ?

Yes I believe so. It lights up for reverse and normal polarity so if no lights no power

Sounds like it is a fault. When I use mine, with UK polarity, the lights are bright and correct. When used in used in Europe, with ‘reversed’ polarity, they’re much dimmer, but visible in daylight, and show the reversed polarity. If I use with a ‘reverse wired’ adaptor, in Europe, the lights are still dimmer, but are correctly illuminated.
