It has quite the array of minerals and trace elements, but the largest in quantity contained in the package is potassium, which is good. Some have stated that it is more salty than lmnt, which is impossible according to the laws of thermodynamics and basic physics. If you can do elementary math and ratios, you will see that it contains far more potassium relative to sodium, while lmnt has far more sodium relative to potassium. You don't even have to buy the product to find this out, the nutrition labels are available in the Amazon listings. Lmnt is not a good product for me because it contains too much salt relative to the rest of the minerals, and I get enough salt in my diet from food. This product called fasting electrolytes, I take it even though I'm not fasting. The extra potassium and magnesium help keep me from developing muscle cramps especially at night. The taste is not particularly good, it's just minerals and no sweeteners. But I add in small amounts to my lemon water throughout the day, or a little bit in my coffee. I'm pleased with the product, and will continue to order.

I have purchased and used at least four different electrolyte powders including a favorite brand of YouTube influencers. Some have no sodium at all. The influencer brand has way too much sodium for my level of physical activity. This supplement powder, however, has a nice balance of sodium, potassium, and magnesium with a token but meaningful amount of calcium. There are flavored brands that contain sweeteners that I find cloying and which actually make me feel fatigued because they evidently stimulate insulin production. This is highly counterproductive when one is trying to fast because higher insulin also stimulates appetite. Fortunately, this brand does not flavor or sweeten. Finally, there is the question of packaging. There's another brand that is quite similar in its formulation, which would be my favorite, but the amount in the bag is about half as much. This would not be a big problem except it is hard for me to extract a measured amount from the bag since the bag of that brand is too small to fit my hand into. This ends up causing a lot of fiddling to extract the product from the last third of the bag. In this brand, the bag is nominally the same face dimension, but it contains nearly twice as much powder, meaning the problem persists for about half as long as a percentage of product life. A longer handled scoop would help in both cases. And maybe one with a boat-shape so one can scoop out of the crevices at the fold. There are some keto salts that eschew sodium altogether which may have a place in a keto practice, but I find this moderate sodium version to taste better and to be more satisfying. As a person who does little vigorous exercise and does frequent fasting of various durations, I find FastLyte supplement powder to be ideally suited for my keto-inspired lifestyle.

So OF COURSE this stuff is gonna be extremely salty. Anyone who is surprised by that just did not know what they were ordering. I put this in my daily lunch smoothie and it tastes amazing. My smoothie is as follows: 1 scoop sixstar protein powder 1 cup frozen fruit (mixed berries if using chocolate powder, tropical blend if using vanilla) 3 handfuls of spinach 1/2 cup dry oats 2 tbs ground flax 1/2 cup vanilla oikos triple 0 3/4 cup coconut water 1 4cc scoop of electrolyte powder 14 ice cubes This results in a 32oz smoothie and the umami/sweet flavor combo is addictive. Literally the highlight of my day!

I haven't yet recieved this product, so I cannot review the products results or details from experience as of yet. This review is mostly for those who are looking for an effective, naturally formed sources of electrolytes, which in this case, is formulated for fasting. Its not the only way to use it, though it does make this product unique for those purposes. Along side noting this product with this brand specifically, is what I look for in the use of health supplements, in that it is infact naturally formed and sourced, along with the near proper dosages for each essential electrolyte which makes it overall a better choice over others. From what I see in searching with electrolytes supplements, is that it may tend to have different amounts of each which can increase and decrease ingredients, and there tends to be one that isnt the best choice as far as actually absorbing it in the body. The simple fact is, is that the more expense it takes to get one ingredient, it normally decreases the total amount in the product to reduce cost in producing, all the while it may increase the least needed ones to try and even out the scales. This particular product doesnt have that issue, and their will always be deabtes on what or how important something really is, and the dosages/timing etc. Its a plain requirement when using health supplements, to choose specific ingredients, amounts, and overall cost, and as far as the effectiveness goes, Ill add another review to speak on that subject. For now, for those who are looking for a good product/brand for electrolytes, this is the best one Ive come across so far. Good luck with your purchase.

Very good, only wish the zipper seal was easier

I did some fasting this week (just to see what it was like, yes total tourist) and studied up ahead of time to see how to do it safely. One thing was 'take electrolytes with water, your body needs those' so I jumped on here and started looking. You need no sugar no filler (no gatorade!) because any calories will mess up the fast. You can buy a lot of packet products, but those are 10x the cost per gram. This comes in a resealable bag, instructions on the back for your schedule, and two plastic scoops to make it easy! So first day is just one small scoop in a liter of water, couldn't be easier. Just make sure you completely seal the bag up, as, like other salts, it'll probably clump if left open by absorbing moisture from the air. You can always just crush the lumps again, but sealing is a penny of prevention.

Product did NOT help with hydration, or with muscle cramps. There is a disgusting aftertaste for something that is supposed to not have a flavor. I tried adding different things (like lots of lime juice) but that aftertaste was always there. Unable to return, waste of money.

I’m confused. Everyone keeps talking about how this is suppose to be super salty but I am not tasting an ounce of saltiness? Did I get a bad bag?

REALLY salty/hard to drink, but the incredients are good. I use it on my multi-day fasts.

Best value real electrolytes that I have found and used. So much expensive garbage out there with extremely small amounts of potassium and sodium, I am glad this exists and will continue buying for years to come.

This stuff tastes BAD, let it be said, if you are expecting some sugary / glucose / aspartame / stevia slop, you won't find that here, this stuff tastes like sea water or maybe slightly worse. However if you are searching around for a CLEAN effective electrolyte that isn't filled with random chemicals this is exactly what you want, it is a pure combination of different salts that does exactly what you want.

WE placed our order on Monday and received delivery on Tuesday. We love these electrolytes, best on the market. Expensive but does not contain sugar or colors and flavours. Taste takes some getting used to but when you can handle it you'll love it.
