The shell is great! Took awhile to come in the mail which kind of sucked but the product was worth the wait. The shell seems durable and was a perfect fit for replacement. It came with all screws needed if you didn’t want to re use the old ones. All in all a great product. Definitely a difficult job though for newbies to the modding world.

so the case itself is pretty light kinda thin but doesn’t feel cheap imo. if you look super close I mean really close you can see how the case is slightly misaligned but honestly for 20 bucks it’s nice. Yes it’s cheap but prepare to sit down for about 2 hours. I saw tons of people recommend to use different screwdrivers than the ones included so I did and overall the outcome is sick. The case looks so good once finished. My ZR button was sticky at first but after time of messing with it it’s now working fine. Watch a YouTube vid, take your time and everything should turn out okay.

To start, if you have never done any sort of repair/replacement work on electronics before this may be a challenging project. It took me about 2.5 hours to complete with me taking pictures of everything I took apart. Also, make sure you buy some thermal paste as well - it will definitely help keep your Switch running cool. I love the smoky transparency of the emerald green (looks more like turquoise). It’s sleek and reminds me of my transparent green N64! The plastic material that it’s made out of feels durable, but will probably crack if you drop your Switch. I decided not to use the ABXY replacement buttons as I liked how the white buttons looked. It’s not a 5/5 because of a couple reasons. The tools that comes with the shell are not great. Do they work? Yes, but they may strip your screws. Lucky enough I have the iFixit toolset from doing other repair jobs. The video that’s provided is also not great. I recommend looking at other videos for support. The last thing is the screen protector. I really wished they included the proper screen protector color as I just didn’t like the look of the gray screen cover. So, I opt out of installing it ( I did just use a regular screen protector). When I was done with the shell swap, I notice the back cover slightly extended beyond the front where there was a small gap on the right side of the Switch. Dirt, dust, sweat, etc could easily get into the internals so I contacted customer support and they sent me a free replacement shell within 2 weeks. The replacement back shell fit perfectly this time. In all, I would recommend this product if you are looking to bring some life back into your Switch Lite. Oh and remember to take your time and disconnect the battery! If it takes you 5 hours then it’s all good. Better than having your Switch Lite not work as some reviews have mentioned.

Love my new shell!! Not going to lie it was a little difficult for a beginner.. but was determined to get it done as I choose this is a project .. this was my first time opening a system up EVER.. It was time consuming , tedious , & meticulous but very much worth it !! Everything fit perfectly and all the tools helped .. & there are plenty of YouTube tutorials to do this as well .. I would definitely recommend & I will definitely be buying more in the future!

This product wasn't terrible, but it didn't live up to my expectations. There were a few positives, but they were outweighed by issues with quality, performance, or overall value. It may work fine for some people, but it wasn't a great fit for my needs. After using it, I don't feel it was worth the money, and I would probably look for an alternative next time.

I used this black translucent shell for a recent swap and it worked great. Fit is immaculate. Looks like it came from the factory. I also used black buttons from this company as well. The thumb stick caps came from another company on Amazon (skull something I think) they just slipped on over top of the original white ones. I did not use the included screen protector as I opted to change the digitizer from the factory blue to a dark grey one. I bought this part from A-mind on Amazon. Everything works great and I am very happy with the results. My main tip is to have experience with stuff like this or pay someone else to do it. It’s not an easy swap by any means and would be very easy to damage multiple parts. I followed a YouTube tutorial where I guy did a SNES gray retro swap shell and everything went smoothly for me for the most part. No complaints. Oh, I also got the Nintendo decal from Etsy and installed it under the translucent shell directly to the metal shield so it wouldn’t get scuffed off.

I needed to do a full teardown of my Switch Lite to replace a broken LCD so when I saw a Glow in the Dark shell I knew what I had to do! The quality of the kit is pretty good. The plastic is a bit softer than the original shell but it doesn’t feel cheap. Other than a very small gap near the charge port, everything fit very well. My only concern would be a few of the screws didn’t bite very well in the post and were spinning at the end. The kit had a bunch of extras, I have my own tools but it was nice to get the correct screwdrivers and some extra hardware (I’m glad it had an extra spring for the shoulder button!). I didn’t use their guide, I used the ifixit screen replacement guide instead. It wasn’t an easy job, lots of delicate ribbon cables etc, maybe an 8/10. I wouldn’t recommend this project for someone just getting started. You definitely want to have some experience working on complex, multi part electronics. You also need thermal paste and screen adhesive and I recommend having a good electronics repair tool kit complete with tweezers, spudger, etc. Good kit all around!

The shell itself is high quality, looks good and feels good. The screwdrivers which came with it weren’t amazing, but at least they added them, and the screen protector is good, but I did it wrong which is on my part as I got dust under it… What I really wanna highlight is the absolutely brilliant instructional video. So simple, to the point and no waffle, there could have been no text and I’d still understand it. Great product. 10/10!

Comme souvent avec extreme rate, la qualité du plastique est au rendez vous. Malheureusement, encore une fois, comme souvent chez extreme rate il faut un peut bidouiller ce qui peut être embêtant pour certains. Dans mon cas, j'ai dû poncer un peu le bouton R car la coque ne la laissait pas remonter du bouton. En dehors de ça c'est franchement une très bonne qualité pour des coques non officielles, on ne peut trop guère s'attendre à mieux. L'inclusion d'un protège écran est grandement appréciée.
