Excellent Product - No downsides
I recently replaced my outside dryer vent cover with one that permits easy access to the vent pipe. I bought this cleaner brush kit and it works exactly has I had hoped. Combined with my cordless drill operating at low speed, cleaning the entire six foot run was easy and without issues. The extendable shaft has just the right stiffness - flexible enough to navigate curves at offsets, yet stiff enough to avoid floppiness or oscillations. A great value for the money and well made out of appropriate material. Fits the standard four inch duct perfectly. Very inexpensive and a great value. My dryer duct was cleaned out beautifully.

Worst product if you have elbow pipes
First: There is no hexagon drill attachment. Second: I have 2 elbow pipes and the plastic heated up while turning and snapped from the middle of one piece and I lost the inside piece. Recovering that cost me a lot of time and effort. If you have elbows in your pipeline just ignore it or any products like it.

Definitely Works
I was surprised at stuff that came out of vent. My dryer kept overheating and blowing fuses, so bought this. Easy to use

Better than expected
I usually clean out my dryer vent by vacuuming the lint that will come out, and then blowing out the rest with the shop-vac. When I saw this brush, it reminded me of the brushes I’ve seen them use to clean out chimneys so I figured I’d give it a shot. I wish I could see the inside of my vent as it runs through the attic to be able to give you one of those infomercial-type photos of before and after, but suffice it to say that the amount of lint that came out after running this brush the length of the vent is just staggering. I had no idea there was that much lint trapped in there. Obviously the brush and rods work the way they are intended to. In terms of practical tips, I would recommend using this while another person holds the vacuum to clean up everything that this brush is going to flush out. I started with a few rods, ran the brush up and down (with the spinning drill), and added rods as I went along. I’m sure there are other ways to do it, so ymmv, but I don’t see why every dryer isn’t sold with one of these. It should be required equipment just like the power cord and ducts

Works great
I am not including a photo because it’s exactly as pictured. The white extension rods are 16” each. I got the 15’ model, which was the shortest unit I could find on Amazon. So I got about 11 or 12 extension rods. It’s easy to put together and easy to use with or without a drill. I tried both ways and the drill makes things a little faster. Only use clockwise direction, even when pulling the brush back toward yourself. The dryer vent here was not cleaned since 2015, which is 8-9 yrs ago. It was not as plugged as I thought, but it’s now spotless inside the 4” duct. I wish it came with a small Bag to keep the rods in when not in use.
