Explore Bloodborne's dark, terrifying world through this official artbook, featuring stunning character concepts, creature designs, and more from the acclaimed action RPG. Review: Must have for a Bloodborne collector - In regards to people being disappointed with the fact that it's not a hardcover and that they expected more content - I would personally agree. However, for what is provided, it is a worthy addition to a Bloodborne collector. I own a few art books and guidebooks for various other games, but Bloodborne is the one I own basically everything there is to own, so I might be a bit biased here, do keep that in mind. While the book is indeed not hardback (which is common for the UDON publisher), so you don't get that "feel of a book", the quality is still good, don't think that it's some sort of leaflet with pictures. The art itself consists of original concepts, alterations and some pages have in-game screenshots with added artistic enhancements, so to speak, to make it match with the rest of the book aesthetically. When it comes to the concepts themselves, never have I seen a more faithful transition from concept to the final product with every little detail, every tiny piece of clothing or a gravestone, everything you remember from the game is there in the concepts, perfectly transitioning from art to video game. Apart from the details on some bosses and enemies (which admittedly could use more attention apart from a single image) that you might not be able to see in game, all of that is present to quench your curiosity. Some details that were not included or included only partially are there too. The most interesting part for myself personally was that, every Hunter armour set, in full size, usually with back and frontal views, also has a neat detail - how it looks without the coat/cape/top cover/etc. just showing what is underneath that tiny bit of armour that you'd never see in game Overall well worth getting if you don't mind the softcover. Review: Lots of great artwork to enjoy. - As a massive fan of the game, it was a real treat when this arrived in the post. The images are really high quality and printed on glossy paper. It features a good combination of world concept art and character art although I was hoping for a bit more concept work of non-featured ideas. Regardless, the artwork is awesome and brings out the horrific vision of the monsters in a way that game can't. The artbook itself arrived in perfect condition with no damage to the pages or spine.

Such a beauty
I am very fascinated with the Lovecraftian theme that Bloodborne achieves. The game itself is a masterpiece for many reasons, but being able to own this book that so perfectly presents the detail of this world and everything in it, is a joy. If you're a fan of the art design of FromSoftware's masterpiece, this book is definitely worth owning.

Lovely stuff
Bad points and why I gave 4 stars - I wasnt expecting it too be and I new it would be a paper back. But this propduct would of got a perfect score if they made it hard back. Other then that.....absolutley stunning stuff. Not much to read but this is an Art Book not a making of. Glossy paper and sharp colours and images. Bloodborne fans this is worth every penny.

Bloodborne = Dark artworks = perfect!
Great, simply great artbook, which should be with hard covers. I'm afraid that the pages will start falling apart soon :/. The images are superb, quality is great. Get ready to enter the Gothic, dark world of Bloodborne.

Amazing illustrations, and well indexed
Amazing illustrations, and well indexed. It shows how much thought went into the visuals for a game with such a compelling story. A must-have item for anyone with a soft-spot for from software games or lovecraftian/gothic horror

very good book; as a bloodborne fan I enjoyed it a lot; could have used more details on some of the characters and npcs, but even so, it's worth the money and time

Fantastic
Highly recommend for Bloodborne fans. Art book is very detailed, nicely done with great images from the game. Too bad it isn’t available as hardcover.

What happened to this release? It feels like a rush job made with very little effort. I'm shocked at some of the 4 & 5 star reviews here. Artwork is excessively dark and is incredibly hard to see (even in a bright room with no sunlight glare), and everything feels thrown together without much thought. Plus, paperback? Seriously? This should have at least been a hardcover. And the paperback spine this comes with looks very fragile, so i dont recommend spreading the pages open to much. And yes, i KNOW Bloodborne itself is inherently a visually dark game, but it works fine on a nice screen where you can still make out the details after calibrating the contrast. But on printed pages? Wow.... it just looks like smudgy darkness. I'll try my best to include pictures that show how it actually looks in person, but much of the artwork just looks bad because of the print. Did anyone even QA check the artwork once it was printed? Because this is ridiculous. So how about any additional artist input? Design input? None. Zilch. Nada. There isnt any texts included here to describe the design inspirations, artists intent, or interviews. Not even a foreword. You get a few lines of in game dialogue slapped on some pages. Thats it. I mean heck even the Dark Souls design works had more information than this. And plenty of other ART books have had more information added in to flesh out the world. This is purely concept work slapped together in a poorly binded paperback book. This pales in comparison to other books like "The Art of Fallout 4", which btw, is a hardcover, has more pages and costs THE SAME as of the time of this writing... There isnt much point in owning a physical release to this because of how incoherent much of the artwork is. A PDF would have probably been a much better way to enjoy this artwork. 1 star, just because the actual art of the Bloodborne world is amazing, but it is not represented well here. If you buy this book, you will most likely do quick flip through and chuck it in your collection, never to be opened again. Look elsewhere dear hunters.
