Men in Black (1997) / Men in Black 3 / Men in Black II - Set

Great set of films. I think the 4K really shines in the third film, the other two are obviously upscaled, but otherwise surround sound is great. The first one is probably the best, partly as it set the trend and just a classic that everyone's seen, but I think a big part of the success is the foul language, as it makes the story (about aliens) and all the comedy bits just feel a bit more genuine. They tone that down in the later films, though the 3rd film probably has some of the best emotional acting by Will Smith.

A fun and great trilogy within an interesting world in a good quality single package. Don't even read the reviews and just get it.

Splendid set of films thanks largely to the actors and scriptwriters. The first one had the impact of the new, and that cannot be repeated. The second had the dreadful talking dog. The last one has the most complex, time-travel plot [Though nowhere near as complex as Dr Who has been over the last few years!!] and plenty of laughs, with a strangely unarmed villain... Sorry to know the series must end but then all good things... all the films offer piles of humour based on character - with the odd slapstick moment - and interesting plots carefully written, and beautifully acted. As I said, SPLENDID!!

Its some really great movies with Will Smith, and he is just as funny as he use to be! As for the "sale" I think it is a little misleading, stating theres a UV copy, as of this is only for UK buyers. I live in Denmark. And could not receive my digital copy. The WORST part though, was the lack of subtitles for MIB2. I do not understand, why both MIB1 and MIB3 supports over 9 subtitles, and MIB2 only supports english and dutch. Would have been great to know before buying! It isn't even written in description (yea, I know the description only states the support of english subtitles for the entire collection, but still.)

I was thinking of buying the first two movies and then thought I would wait to see if a collectors / limited edition would come out and it did. I am glad that I waited - the presentation alone is very good and sits well at the side of my James Bond Limited Edition and Bladerunner edition. Well worth the but and the quality of tghe films themseleves are great. I live in Dubai and having them delivered was far cheaper than purchasing out here - so another good mark for Amazon.

Excellent series, thanks to the witty dialogue and good acting of the principle characters played by Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. The addition of Josh Brolin, playing the young Tommy Lee Jones character Agent K, worked better than I imagined it would due to his excellent mimicry of Jones's clipped delivery of dialogue. I would recommend this series to any prospective buyer.

Men in Black films - need we say more? Brilliant

La visione dei primi due film è un appuntamento irrinunciabile per qualsiasi amante del cinema, specie se anche appassionato/a di fantascienza. L'ultimo film della trilogia è godibile ma punta moltissimo sugli effetti (molto ben realizzati peraltro) e sfrutta un filone di idee già ampiamente sviluppate nei primi due film, aggiungendoci comunque qualche nuovo ingrediente. L'umorismo è brillante e (quasi) mai banale, spesso con un taglio geek/nerd. Ottime le interpretazioni degli attori protagonisti — nel primo film, particolarmente memorabile quella dell'"antagonista" Vincent D'Onofrio... e Linda Fiorentino si lascia sempre guardare. I tre blu-ray arrivano in tre custodie separate standard, riunite in una semplice scatola di cartone con un lato aperto. Ricchi e particolarmente interessanti i contenuti speciali, che si soffermano a lungo sui diversi stadi di realizzazione del film (interpretazioni, costumi, scenografia, effetti speciali, effetti visivi, effetti sonori, musica,...). La qualità delle immagini nelle versioni su blu-ray è ottima (visibilmente migliore di quella dei corrispondenti DVD) e fa godere appieno dei dettagli di scenografia, armi, alieni... e tutto. Da avere, specie a questo prezzo.

Eines vorweg, ich werde hier ausschliesslich auf die Box und deren Inhalt eingehen NICHT AUF DIE FILME. So, da man ja nie genau weis was man bei den exclusiv Editionen von Amazon präsentiert bekommt, bzw wie gut verarbeitet das ganze ist, hab ich mich selbst mal ins kalte Wasser geworfen um herauszufinden was die MiB Collection so besonders(oder eben nicht)macht. Das erste was erscheint nachdem man den Amazon-Karton öffnet ist ein weiterer Karton in der die MiB Collection verpackt wurde. Was mich persönlich etwas enttäuscht hat, denn das Bild sieht ehr danach aus als würde man eine Tin-Box bekommen. Wie dem auch sei. Der Karton hat einiges an Beschriftungen(Inhalt, FSK Logo etc.), aber keine Angst, hierbei handelt es sich um einen Pappschuber den man ja irgendwo verstauen kann. Darunter ist dann der gecleante Karton ohne Aufschrifent und FSK Logo. Kommen wir nun zum Inhalt.Nachdem man einen weiteren Schuber entfernt hat kommt die Blu-Ray Box und ein paar Karten mit Szenenbildern zum Vorschein. (die Karten sind MMn nicht erwähnenswert) Die Blu-Ray's kommen in einer Art Buch daher, welches wie ein Media-Book aussieht, aber etwas anders aufgebaut ist. Das ganze hat einen hochglanz Einband (in schwarz) und sieht doch recht edel aus, ist aber wohl sehr Fingerabdruck anfällig. Vorne drauf befinden sich (von oben nach unten) die beiden Hauptdarsteller, der Schriftzug MIB, darunter dann "TRILOGY" und dann das MIB Logo.(kein FSK Logo) Klappt man das Buch auf, bekommt man 3 Seiten präsentiert in die die Disc's eingeschoben werden. Wenn man vor hat die Filme öfter anzusehen, würde ich empfehlen die Disc's aus den Hüllen zu entfernen, da das ständige rein und rausgeziehe der Disc wohl nicht so gut bekommen wird. Die Front der 3 Seiten ziert das jeweilige Cover der 3 Filme. (die der Neuauflagen) Auf der linken Seite des Filmcovers sind ein paar Szenenbilder zu sehen.(keine Laufzeiten etc. diese sind auf dem Pappschuber zu finden) Alles in allem ist dieses Buch echt klasse, bis auf die Tatsache das man die Disc's in den Karton schieben muss, aber als Sammlerstück echt super. Nun kommen wir zur "Hauptattraktion" der Box, der Worm Guy Figur. Bei dieser handelt es sich um einen Bobblehead(Wackelkopf)(welche sehr stabil in Styropor eingepackt wurde, wer die Rambo Büste besitzt weiß bescheid), welcher am Oberkörper die Feder besitzt. (auf dem Bild gut zu erkennen) Sie wurde wohl aus Resin (Kunstharz) gefertigt und weist sehr viele Details auf. Die Fühler sind aus normalem Kunststoff gefertigt und können deshalb nicht abbrechen. (sehr schön mitgedacht) Da die Figur handbemalt wurde, sind leichte unsauberheiten zu erkennen, was für mich das ganze nur noch etwas schöner macht. (da so jedes Stück einzigartig ist) Die Maße sind 17,78 in der Höhe und 10,16 in der Breite,das Gewicht beträgt stattliche 350 Gramm. Am Boden hat die Figur 4 kleine Filzpunkte(sowie ein paar Produktionsdetails), damit sie den Untergrund auf der sie steht nicht verkratzt. Fazit: Nach anfänglicher Enttäuschung bin ich doch überrascht was man hier geboten bekommt. Klar, der Preis von 49,99 Euro dürfte nicht jeden jubeln lassen, aber dennoch finde ich ihn in Ordnung. Das Blu-Ray Buch ist ebenso hochwertig wie die Figur und sehen optisch super aus. Als Sammler hab ich definitiv schon einige Editionen gekauft bei denen man weitaus weniger und schlechteres bekommen hat als hier.(Hellboy 2, Indiana Jones 4) Somit kann ich diese Collection jedem Sammler ans Herz legen. Kleiner Nachtrag: Leider liegt der Box weder ein Zertifikat bei, noch wurde sie durchnummeriert. Ich hoffe ich konnte denjenigen weiter helfen, die sich noch nicht sicher waren. :)

Muy buen pack a muy buen precio, incluye la trilogía de Men In Black, son 3 amarays cada uno con su carátula y una funda de cartón. Buena calidad de imagen y sonido. Bastante contenido extra en cada disco.

Las primeras son completamente en inglés sin subtitulos en español, la tercera película si tiene subtitulos en español, deberían hacer mención de eso en las especificaciones
