This is one of the best albums of the year so far and shows how far Gaz has travelled, especially in recent years. To my ears there are clear Radiohead influences here (no bad thing at all) and it occasionally lapses into Arcade Fire territory but make no mistake, this is all his own work. Excellent!!!

Absolutely stunning album! One of the few albums you can say "every track is 5 star". Full of emotion - a very strong and well written & performed album. Good old Gaz!

Second album from Gaz. A really departure from Supergrass. A bit Radiohead in places, but still a great album nevertheless.

Die alten Zeiten
Wer Supergrass mochte, wird hier erkennen, wie maßgeblich der Anteil von Gaz Coombes beim Songwriting war. Dieses Gefühl von trickreichem Pop/Rock stellt sich hier immer noch ein. Wenn ich einen Song wie "The Girl who fell to earth" höre, überkommt mich große Wehmut und ich erinnere mich an die Zeiten, als der Britpop in vollem Gange war und man dachte alles wäre möglich. Ein hoffnungsvoller Optimismus kam auf und Supergrass segelten mit ihrem Spacepopsixtiesgroove wie Superman über die Wolken. Man spürt auf diesem Album noch die Magie dieser fernen Tage, auch wenn hier mit den Backgroundsängerinnen eine leichte Soulnote einfließt, was etwas "moderner" klingt. Leider findet sich für diesen verspielten Pop kein so großes Publikum mehr, was sehr schade ist. Popmusik ist heute so erschreckend niveaulos geworden, dass man Gaz Coombes dankbar sein muss, dass er immer noch treibende Melodien ersinnt wie in "Detroit" oder "20/20".

Bellissimo album
Bravissimo Gaz. Album veramente splendido!! Aspetto con ansia il prossimo. Un autore tutto da riscoprire. Il cd mi è giunto perfettamente integro e puntuale.

Une merveille
Pour moi l'album rock de 2015. Découvert un peu par hasard en festival, j'ai été séduit et ai pris des tickets pour un "vrai" concert à l'automne. Entre temps j'ai écouté ce merveilleux album en boucle.
