Nice and bright so easy to find in the garage. Good length of lead and hard plastic. Definitely good replacement for my old one.

I bought this Masterplug Pro-XT reel for some DIY work around the house and it’s clearly a step above standard extension leads. The 10m high-visibility cable is a great safety feature, making it much harder to accidentally trip over or clip with a tool. I especially love the integrated power switch and LED indicator—it’s so convenient to be able to kill the power right at the reel rather than walking back to the wall socket. The pull-out drum handle makes winding it back up effortless and neat. It feels robust and built to last. Highly recommended!

I needed a decent extension lead for doing some jobs around the garden and garage, and I wanted something a bit more substantial than a standard indoor one. This Masterplug extension reel seemed to fit the bill. When I got it, the first thing I noticed was how solid it felt. It's got a really sturdy frame and a high-vis cable that's a bright green, which is great because it's much harder to trip over it. Using it is pretty straightforward. You just unwind the length of cable you need, plug it into a socket, and you're ready to go. It has four sockets, which is plenty for what I need, and there's a power indicator light so you know it's on. I've used it for my electric mower and a pressure washer, and it handles them both perfectly well. There’s also a thermal cut-out feature, which is a big plus for safety, as it's designed to stop the unit from overheating if you're pulling too much power through it. What I really like about it is how durable it feels. The handle on the side makes it easy to wind the cable back up without it getting tangled, and the whole thing feels like it's built to last. The 10-metre cable is a really good length for most tasks around the house and garden, giving you plenty of reach. The only slight issue I've found is that the reel can be a difficult to hold when reeling it back in. There's no bar or handle for you to grasp and rotate. Overall, I'd highly recommend this extension reel. It's a great piece of kit for anyone who needs to run power outdoors or in a workshop. It’s reliable, feels very safe to use, and does the job without any fuss. It’s perfect for home DIY enthusiasts and anyone who just needs a heavy-duty power solution.

Very good quality & robust

Bought as a replacement for a Defender 10m reel that just stopped working after a few years. The Masterplug reel is solid in the hand and the rocker switch has a nice, definitive on/off feel to it. So far, I've been very impressed with the build quality and performance - so hopefully it will last more than a few years. It seems to generally come with high recommendations if you do a little research into extension reels.

I am using this to charge my Tesla using the Tesla portable charger (set to 10amp) continuous charging and the extension lead handles the power fine and does not overheat. Good quality.

Just started using it. So far looks sturdy and strong. My only regret so far with it is that it’s heavy but doesn’t have a handle to hold it.
