Hi Thank you for your enquiry. It has a very short straw attached to the button. It is long enough to be able to direct the spray into a lock if it is flush with the door facing. When you spray the door it is advisable to put newspaper on the floor to protect it from overspray or the area can become a slip hazard.

Can I use it on wooden doors?

Doubt It. I use it on bike gears.
