Goodnight Digger : Robinson, Michelle, East, Nick: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Simple but lovely - I bought this book for my digger obsessed boy. He wasn’t interested at all in reading books before bed & always screamed for the iPad. This has done just the trick! The illustrations are lovely with large pages to look at. The narrative is very, very simple so I don’t think it would do for an older child- but perfect for a 2 year old Review: 2 year old loves - 2 year old son loves this short rhyming story with lovely pictures

Lovely book
Brought this for my digger mad 2 year old son for Christmas. It is now his absolute favourite book and he insists we must read it every bedtime. It's a lovely little book, with nice rhyming and illustrations to capture little ones imagination and attention. It has really helped my little boys reading and speech, and he now "reads" it to us instead 😂. I say read.. He can't read the words yet, but he reads it from memory almost word for word. We will deffinetly be looking at adding some more of the goodnight books to his collection.

Yes, it's as good as it looks!
Ok, I have to admit, as soon as I heard this book was coming out I knew it would be perfect for my eldest son, who is three. He's vehicle-mad and loves a good bedtime story. I wasn't expecting it also to be a hit with my 18mth old because he's not quite old enough to sit still for most paper books (still loving the board books. And occassionally chewing them!). So for us this book is perfect for just before bed with the two boys snuggled under each arm. The oldest is old enough to shout 'Goodnight Digger!' at the appropriate places whilst the littlest just shouts 'Gigger!' at random. A lovely way to wind them down at night time.

This is currently my son’s favourite book. Illustrations are good, not very long and not many words on each page. My 2 year old has learnt all the different transport words from this book.

OUr little 2 year old loves this book, especially with him loving digger so much at the moment Sweet drawings, memorable rhymes. It would be even better as a hardback and a little bit smaller.

Great illustrations and rhythm to the story. It has become a favourite of a two year old boy.

A very simple book for babies and toddlers to follow. Big-sized, big pictures and lots of vehicles. This book reminded me of Good Night Moon and Good Night Gorilla book that my toddler enjoyed a lot when he was between 1-2 years of age. Now he is more into books that tell a story. But he still likes to look at the pictures in this book as he is totally into vehicles. What I found interesting is that my 6-month old also shows interest in this book, but I have to be more careful around her as the book is a paperback and at this stage she tries to put everything into mouth.
