How long will it stay hot?

I cools down pretty quickly after you unplug it. It has dual teamps so it stays hot as long as you are working

If I use this to seal my baby’s toys, can I put them in the dishwasher? In other words will it create a water tight seal and stay through washing?

Not fully waterproof, not recommended for this application

does the glue dry clear?

Yes but watch your fingers - it’s hot!
