i am a novice what happens if the cake is taller than the 5 inches

Are the edges of the steel scraper squared sharp or smoothly rounded?

Whilst the scraper has two rounded corners and two right-angled corners (as in the image) the edges themselves are squared off.

Is this meant to have a slight curve at one end?

The whole scrapper is meant to be flat and rounded on two corners to scrape the bowl with.
