Bought this for my granddaughter, it was an old favourite of my children, a lovely story that captures the spirit and fun of Christmas using characters from some well known fairytales. Brought back good memories, would definitely recommend.

A great gift for a young one,

Bought as a replacement for copy we had that had lost some inserts that had belonged to my son. Granddaughter loves this book and is now so happy to have her own new copy with all inserts in situ. Well loved family book.

I bought already before The Jolly Postman or others people's letters and it was a nice book and such a good gift, so I bought this edition, and even better than the first, Highly recommend it for children or even for adults who like this type of detailed books.

Heart-warming, inspiring book full of surprises. However, it is mostly understandable for English native-speaking kids who are acquainted with English folklore.

子どもたちへのクリスマスプレゼントに。リクエスト以外のものをひとつ入れていて、今年はこの本にしました。昔日本語版を持っていて、最後のジャバラのカードに感動した記憶があったので…娘は「サンタさんからの特別！」と言って喜んでいました。英語でも楽しめたようです。

This book is a must have classic. I grew up loving it in the 80s and it hasn't aged at all... it's quite a magical book. The joy of the story and novelty of the bits and pieces to open is beautiful and suitable for kids of all ages- & adults!
