Best product I've EVER used !!!. Spent 3 weeks in America last year for our holiday. Only after returning home and viewing the photos did I realize my hair products I'd brought with me had stopped working as soon as we left the hotel's each day. It was 30 + degrees and this caused my hair to stick to my head.This year we returned to America but I'd done a bit of research on what would work well and hold my hair in its choppy style. After reading reviews for Moving Rubber I decided to try it and what a difference.My hair retained its style all day with no need for hairspray either. Another thing I love about it is how little is needed. A small blob, and I mean small, and away you go.Unfortunately, I left it at my cousins when packing so ordered another tub on our way home and that arrived the day after we did. Very pleased with this product and wish it had been around years ago. I highly recommend buying it, you won't be disappointed.

Nothing in the UK has worked for my hair yet to keep the style without it looking like it's rained on my head.Gatsby seems to be the only product that jeeps the hold or style, and able to restyle even after some time has passed. It has a faint smell of apples which is nice, and the texture of the putty is good. I always recommend Gatsby to people who want to style their hair. Make sure you get the right one based on your hair length and the finish you want.

I've known this has existed for a while but despite the knowledge never really got around to buying it. Decided to finally buy it after my tub of American Crew Fibre ran out. From the first application I could tell this is better at holding my particular hairstyle. I would wash and towel dry my hair then use American Crew Fibre but If it was even remotely a little windy outside it would make my hair a mess within seconds and I would have to keep brushing my hair back into style. With this Gatsby I went out in some fairly strong winds and the style held in place. I can even feel my hair is a bit stiff hours after application so you can feel it's doing it's job.

As a hairdresser I use professional products every day. I can honestly say, this is a great product. It goes in my hair really easily. And it does any look like I’ve product in my hair, but it holds and I can also move my hair about to fresh up the style during the day.

It's OK...not as strong a hold as I was expecting given the other reviews. Works about as well as American Crew fiber which is what I've gone back to using as it doesn't take 2months to arrive from across the globe!

Truth be told, over the years, I have spent a small fortune on trying to find the perfect hair product - ranging from supermarket name brands to tiny pots of wax costing nearly £50! Our bathroom cabinet is quite literally chock-a-block with all of the products I have experimented with - and namely, only really ever used once or twice! Finding the perfect hair product is a mission. I have spent the best part of 20 years looking!My hair is fine and depending on my style of cut, is generally of short to mid-length. I would describe my current style as being a short textured/spiky look, for which the Gatsby Moving Rubber Spiky Edge Hair Wax, achieves perfectly. I have also used the product for slicking my hair back - again, great results. I cannot vouch for how well this product works with other hairstyles though.Having been dipping into and out of this product for the past 5 years or so, I have found that to achieve the best results, you need to use a pea-sized amount to begin with. Rub it into the palm of your hands (it is easy to do so as it is effectively a cream, rather than a hard wax) to ensure coverage across both palms, then work it into the roots of your hair outwards, and repeat, to create that textured look or defined spikes.It is a pretty strong holding product but provides some element of flexibility for redefining throughout the day. I tend to use more product than recommended to ensure a medium to strong hold throughout the day. On the occasions I have used less, I lose some of the definition, resulting in a slightly more messy, matte look - even when only briefly outside, on wet and windy days. Be aware that the more product you use, the wetter (and potentially, greasy) your hair will look.My biggest gripe with this product is with how difficult it is to wash out. I have tried a multitude of shampoos and conditioners, but dare I say, this is impossible to fully wash out, with one shampoo and conditioning routine. Taking Pantene, as an example, I need to shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse, shampoo again, rinse, condition again, rinse, to get the bulk of the product out. Even then, it does not feel like my hair is completely wax-free.The other negative I have noticed when using this product is that, over time, if you sleep with this hair wax remaining in your hair, it results in a build-up of sticky residue on your bed pillow, which obviously is not particularly pleasant.Nevertheless, considering the relatively low price, this is a versatile hair product, which is great for achieving those choppy/spiky and textured looks. In my opinion, it is best suited for those with short-to-mid-length styles. I have tried other Gatsby products in the range, but this has proven to be by far the best for my fine hair.

As someone with fine hair and a short wispy hairstyle, I could not function without my Gatsby! It's light but holds my hair style all day without too much stickiness. Yoy dont need a lot so it lasts quite a while and it washes out nicely. Definitely my favorite hair product!

I absolutely love this hair wax! My hair is thick and I used to use gel on it. However, I could never get my hair to look how I wanted. I decided to give this stuff a try and I am very glad I did. I'm going to compare this to regular hair gel because that's what I used to use and hair gel seems very common (I'm basing this off of my experience with hair gel and this Gatsby hair wax. I'm not saying everyone has these problems with hair gel, I'm just trying to help those who do have similar problems).- Hair gel would never style my hair just right. I would put hair gel in my hair and try to spike it, and the spike would never turn out quite how I imagined it. Using this hair wax, I can get a perfect spike easily every time (assuming I use the wax correctly).- Hair gel never looked quite right in my hair. When I used hair gel, it would leave my hair looking hair, flaky, and shiny. This hair wax looks much better in my hair. It gives your hair a soft texture (it feels soft and looks it too), and it doesn't get flaky either. On top of that, it gives your hair a very natural appearance without the gloss.- Hair gel would take a long time to use. It would take me up to 15 minutes to use the gel. I would keep trying to get the perfect style but it would never look right. I took a long time trying to create the style and I would still come away feeling unsatisfied. With this hair wax, I can spike my hair in less than 2 minutes and be very happy with the look.Bottom line is, if you have thick hair, this hair wax will work wonders. It will allow you to easily style your hair and create the look you want, it will look great, and you can do it very quickly. Now before I finish this review, I would like to go over a few more things. First, some people say this stuff doesn't wash out easily. For me, that's not true. I can wash my hair like normal (only once) and my hair is product free and ready to be styled. This hair wax is easy to restyle. Some of you may be worried about the hold like I was. I didn't think it could hold well if you could just re-syle it. I thought that if it could be restyled easily, maybe it could be "restyled" on accident, say if there was some wind or something. Well, it does have a good hold. It's not just going to collapse of anything. However, if you want, you can work you hair into a different style in the middle of the day. Now, if someone tried to mess your hair up as a joke, they would be able to. However, you can always just restyle it back. Finally, I would like to mention a few problems you might have with this wax. The correct way to do apply this wax is to take a small amount, about a finger tip, and spread it over your hands until it is transparent. I found it tempting to not spread it well enough or to use to much product. DON'T DO THIS. It will make your hair look bad and will be hard to style. It makes you hair too stiff and makes it clump together. It will completely ruin the look. Make sure you use a small amount, and spread it evenly over your hands. Make sure the wax is transparent and there isn't any visible wax on your hands. If you apply this Gatsby hair wax properly, it will allow you to easily create an awesome style. Good luck!
