If you're a hunter, process raised meat critters, or otherwise need a heavy-duty tool to disassemble them you can't go wrong with this cleaver. Well-designed, excellent heft and balance for serious work. Fit and finish on the blade and handles are well above expectations at the price point. The factory edge is just right for intended use, can break down bones with ease and slice meat with minimal effort. Note: it's not "razor-sharp" as the ad copy and misguided reviewers say. This is not a chef's knife for Dog's sake... Other reviewers have noted that it compares to similar cleavers that cost $100s more. I would agree.

Goes through any bones I throw at it, and the quality is top notch. You couldn't get better if you paid 3x as much. I know because I have some Dalstrong Cleavers that I did pay 3 times as much for, and these are just as good as those for a fraction of the cost. You can use this cleaver for anything you'd use a cleaver for and then some. And its weight is nicely balanced too. Funny story I had some 3 inch thick, completely frozen solid chicken breasts, I didn't feel like defrosting and wanted to cut them down to size for the meal I was making. This cleaver chopped a solid frozen 3 inch thick chicken breast in half in one Chop. And continued to do so for 8 breasts total. Washed it wiped it dry, and it was brand new after. I have chopped whole chickens in half down the center through bones and all, no problem. Buy it and you'll be smiling. I assure you.

Cleaver arrived on time and well packaged. This cleaver is definitely heavy duty to the point I had to get an updated heavy duty chopping block! I feared a mighty swing would break my 1” chopping board in half. Its stayed sharp and I must say, looks menacing. Bones do not stand a chance. I would recommend this cleaver for its outstanding price performance.

Cleaver has appropriate heft. It feels secure in the hand with the well designed handle. It makes short work of beef and pork bones and the blade is unphased by the abuse. A sharper blade would be welcome to minimized the crushed bone fragments that sometimes occur. That's my only quibble, and that sharper blade would come at the expense of the blades robustness and durability. Highly recommend this product.

I loved this .. used this to chop ribb bones and leg bone .. just angle it and hit right .. this is worthy of its price cuts clean and effortless ..no forcing it goes right true that meat made cutting up so easy I cut the flesh also it was done very fast..great size, heavy..good material. I left it soaking in water for 2 days came out the same way after drying, it will not rust soon.. never did.

this is a nice chopper. Great for making chicken pieces

This is a real heavy bone chopper. Great quality. Cuts through meat too, but it's meant for bone chopping.
