Have a 1.2x1.2x2m tent this filter says 4" with 170m3 p/hr, I have a 5" 190m3/h fan will this be ok with ducting etc as the 5" seems too much@300m3p/h

No it's not suitable to filter out fine particles of wood dust, the carbon and the cover will eventually get blocked up, rendering it useless. It is great for filtering out unwanted smells or chemicals in the air.
