Toilet Cleaner Gel Super Powerful, Limescale & Stain Remover – 500ml

I have tried so many toilet cleaners over the years, especially for stubborn limescale and hard water stains, and most of them either smell overwhelmingly strong or barely make a difference. This HG Toilet Cleaner Gel genuinely surprised me because it actually worked noticeably better than most supermarket brands I’ve used before. The first thing I noticed was the thick gel consistency. It clings really well around the toilet bowl instead of instantly running straight into the water like thinner cleaners do. That alone makes it feel much more effective because it actually stays on the stained areas long enough to work properly. What impressed me most was how quickly it tackled stubborn build-up. I had some hard water marks and discolouration around the inside of the bowl that regular cleaners and bleach products barely touched, but after leaving this on for a short while and scrubbing lightly, the difference was obvious straight away. The toilet genuinely looked cleaner and brighter afterwards. I also really like that you don’t need loads of product each time. A relatively small amount spreads well and still gives strong cleaning results, so the bottle feels like it’ll last quite a while even with regular use. Another thing worth mentioning is how much fresher the toilet felt afterwards. Some heavy-duty cleaners leave behind a harsh chemical smell, but this one actually left the bathroom smelling clean without being overpowering. It smells strong enough to feel like it’s doing the job properly, but not so intense that it becomes unpleasant. I’ve especially found it useful for maintaining the toilet between deeper cleans because it removes fresh build-up before it becomes difficult to deal with. Since using this regularly, I’ve needed far less scrubbing overall, which honestly makes bathroom cleaning much less frustrating. The angled bottle design is also practical because it makes it easier to apply under the rim and reach awkward areas properly without making a mess. What surprised me most is that it genuinely lived up to the “super powerful” description. A lot of cleaning products overpromise, but this actually made a visible difference after the first use. It handled stains and limescale much more effectively than several bigger-name toilet cleaners I’ve tried before. I am really impressed with the cleaning power, ease of use and results. It feels like a proper heavy-duty toilet cleaner rather than just another scented bleach gel. Definitely something I’ll keep buying because it actually saves time and effort during cleaning. If you struggle with stubborn toilet stains, limescale or hard water build-up, I’d absolutely recommend giving this a try. It genuinely works.

Wow!! Very effective for stubborn toilet stains, especially around the rim and waterline. I left it on for about 10–15 minutes and most of the stains came off with minimal scrubbing. It’s quite strong, so you can smell it, but that’s expected with a powerful cleaner. A little goes a long way, so you don’t need to use too much each time. This is the best and most effective cleaner ive found in the market so far. Definitely recommend 👌

I live in an area that's absolutely terrible for hard water & I was totally fed up with all the hidden limescale/uriscale, & general nastiness that builds up under the rim of the bowl. It was even affecting the actual water dispersal as the toilet was flushed too & it really was starting to pong despite daily bleachings. Supermarket toilet cleaners, bleach (or even Cillit Bang/Viakal that usually eats its way through scale very effectively) just wouldn't deal with it or break this nastiness down at all. Additionally, they're just not thick enough to be persistent but this toilet cleaner is very thick indeed which allows it to cling to the nastiness for longer & get the job done. Personally, I also needed something strong & effective enough to do the job without me having to scrub around & under the rim of the toilet bowl due to severe disabilities. Ultimately, it took 3 separate applications & I used up the whole bottle whilst leaving it as long as humanly possible in between flushes each time. However, over the span of a day it gradually broke down more & more of the awful scale with each application & I visibly noticed large clumps of foamy goo falling out from under the rim. (I also noticed the smell getting considerably worse for a few hours after application which was a further sign that this cleaner was successfully eating its way through all of the nasty scale/deposits.) I DIDN'T NEED TO SCRUB AT ALL EITHER. After the final application had, had sufficient time to do it's job I simply flushed the toilet & wiped around under the rim & the scale was completely gone. (I've spent a small fortune on other products trying to sort this problem out over time, then one relatively cheap bottle ended up doing the job entirely in less than 9 hours with no effort required at all.) Everything is all completely smooth under the rim like new, the toilet is actually flushing properly again for the water dispersal, & no more nasty niffs at all. SUCCESS!!!! I've ordered another bottle for future use as this cleaner is highly effective with absolutely ZERO EFFORT required, (the longer you can leave it applied the better & multiple applications may be required for long term build ups as well). I'll just use it more frequently in smaller amounts in the future so the toilet rim doesn't ever get as bad as it had in the first place. A second bottle should go a lot further than the first. Very straightforward to use & no special handling required at all. Whilst it is VERY effective it is quite pricey so I'm dropping a star for value for money, otherwise I'd happily recommend it & as noted I am ordering again myself. 4/5.

I moved into a new house and honestly thought the toilet was beyond saving. It was basically 90% limescale and 10% toilet. I've tried other products that did nothing and was close to giving up on the idea of a clean loo. I bought this stuff after reading the other reviews and figured for the price it couldn't hurt to try. I put it in the toilet and left it for an hour, when I came back it didn't look like it had done anything as I could see all the limescale still there. So I figured I'd give it a hard scrub with our toilet brush...well, all that limescale I saw just completely came away at the slightest touch. This product had obliterated it. We now have a toilet that I'd be happy to show a guest, and 200% will buy this again!

Absolutely brilliant! I read the reviews, but was sceptical because I had already invested in several products which had done absolutely nothing at all. So I decided I really had nothing to lose, as it was this or get a new toilet fitted. Although there was very bad staining on the toilet bowl, I simply followed the instructions and nothing more. The first application removed almost all of the staining, together with staining under the rim (that I was previously unaware of). I guess the limescale had been building up for who knows how many years before I moved in. I did then use a toilet brush to remove the lose debris and applied a second application, again straight from the bottle. In total it was on for around 8 hours, but only because I had forgotten about the second application. I wish I had taken before photos but I didn't because in all honesty, I didn't think this product would work. I bought this product a couple of months ago now and I still marvel at how sparkly clean the toilet is! After my initial success I did use it on a horrible stain in the bathroom sink, which only took one short application. The kitchen sink also came up like new, although it didn't really need it. I still have over half a bottle left but will definitely buy this product again when I run out. Bottom line, if it can clean the toilet I inherited, it will clean absolutely anything.
