Read this if your right side doesn't connect
Hello! I was cross shopping this, Kishi V2 and Backbone for my Android. I have an OtterBox on my S10+ And wanted something I could easily plug and play (Hopefully without removing the case). I had the Kishi V2 for a week but the need to remove my case was annoying to say the least, The thumbsticks felt cheap and everything was just meh. I got this next as it was on sale for $80 and after a week with it, it's phenomenal. I only wanted it to cloud Gamepass which it's specifically designed for (Can use Gforce and Steam, just note there is no dedicated button for that). The controller feels good in hand and I don't even have to remove the case! The buttons and sticks feel like an xbox controller which is amazing and it charges in just 2 hours to give you 22 hours of life. There is literally 0 input lag even though it's bluetooth, Only issue is the back feels flimsy as there is no back, so if you squeeze your controller for to long in an intense game match you might accidentally pop the controller off but it rarely happens. One HUGE THING GO NOTE: At first I was about ready to yeet and delete the controller because it didn't work, only the left side would pair and the bluetooth light kepy blinking while the right side white light didn't turn on. I downloaded the Atom app and was able to update both side of the remote but then the right side would still not pair, it was annoying AF. What I found out is, you need to hold B and the 3 bar Hamburger Icon (Start Button) at the same time to power on the right side. NOWHERE in the manual does it say this, I only did it because it told me to do it during the update phase in which I said, let me try that to reset it and boom it worked. Turtle Beach HAS to include this somewhere or these will be returned like no tomorrow. Overall it's and amazing gamepad!

Doesn't work on Android 16 .
Works pretty well on older phone but once my phone updated to Android 16 this controller no longer stays connected, it shuts itself off after about 45secs. No fix or work around found online. I bought this just 9 months ago and now it's unusable. DO NOT BUY!

Buyer beware.... You're not buying what you think
They look sweet! Smaller than imagined. Do the trick.Really fun design! Battery life is great.... That's what you'd expect for this now remarkably low price point. To my surprise though, it may be the best mobile controller I've ever owned. By far outperforms any other options for comfort, responsiveness , design and battery life. The Bluetooth response when pairing to multiple devices and switching between them, connecting to cloud gaming,or even just pairing to each other on start up is so unnoticed that you forget they are running Bluetooth, which, after using "wired" native android controllers, at first was almost enough to make me look elsewhere. The best "what's the worst that could happen" choice. The design lacks a "backbone" supporting the two controllers, this does not effect how they feel in hand, and just for those who care, a Samsung galaxy S25's wireless charging space is left completely wide open when using these controllers, AND it fits like a glove even with a case on. Allowing me to run a wireless charging magsafe phone cooler connected to the back, making for an incredible gaming machine. I've never experienced Bluetooth latency so low. Microsofts own controllers feel sluggish and are nearly off-putting after spending a few hours with the Atom. The lack of mainstream in your face ads, the massively discounted price, and Bluetooth only connectivity left me thinking along the lines of "if nothing else". So since that was my thought process... Beware! Little did I know I may have purchased the best controller I've ever used. Not best mobile controller. Best controller, period. Thank you @TurtleBeach for making something so enjoyable at a price point like this.

Looking for a Joy-Con style split Xbox controller? Don't bother with this one.
I purchased this to try and use it with my PC as a split Xbox controller, similar to Nintendo's Joy-Con controllers. I'm getting older, and my wrists are starting to hurt when holding a traditional controller for extended periods. Now, since this is marketed as an Xbox Game Pass controller, and Android natively supports Xinput controllers, you would think that it would actually be an Xinput controller and show up as such on a PC. Well, you would be wrong, because it's DirectInput. Ordinarily this wouldn't be a problem, as there are many wrappers that will translate DirectInput controls to a virtual Xinput controller (e.g. ReWASD, X360CE, etc.), however I could not find a wrapper that would actually work properly with it. Even if I could, there are a couple other glaring issues, ones which hold true even when using the Atom with an Android phone as designed. First, the triggers aren't analog, they are registered as digital button presses, so you have no fine throttle/brake control in racing games. Second, the blasted thing shuts off after only a minute or two when idle, rather than a more reasonable 10-15 minutes like an actual Xbox controller. This was especially maddening while I was trying to find and configure a wrapper to use it how I intended. I'm giving it two stars because the look and feel are nice and it does technically function as designed when used with an Android phone, but the lack of analog triggers and the puzzling design choices that make it unusable for my purposes prevent me from giving it any more. EDIT: Almost forgot until I was packing everything up to send it back, but to add insult to injury, the included 1-month Game Pass code expired two years ago. :/

Pretty cool little device!
It fits my S23 Ultra with an otterbox case and 6.8 inch screen. That in itself is an impressive feat. Syncing via blutooth was easy, people just need to look up directions online, holding the menu button on the right side controller turns on the right side, holding the left side turtle beach button turns on the left side. As far as blutooth connection with NVIDIA geforce the play is pretty smooth. No issues so far with lag that is noticeable on my phone. The biggest issue is that it hardly fits but I knew that going in. Without the case on my old Note 10+ it fits like a glove. The nice part about this device is how it folds up and is easy to travel with compared to other devices. It's a great feature from Turtle beach. Assuming it continues to work as I change phones or devices this should work on them as well so not bad overall.

Does not work with android
Pay very close attention to what I am about to write if you plan to use this with android: THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH ANDROID. It will pair and work fine the first time. Every subsequent use, it will turn off every minute randomly. If you research this you will blind countless others with the same exact experience. You can hard reset the controller and it will work until disconnected. After the first use after hard resetting you will encounter the same problem again. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU PLAN TO PAIR WITH AN ANDROID DEVICE.

Great concept, poor connectivity and support
The grip is well made, with a mid tier finish. The clicky shoulder buttons are great, the rest of them, except the direction cross, are ok. The cross is low tier, could've been better made considering the brand. Connectivity and support wise, the item is mediocre at best. Before updating the software (via the app), the controllers turned off every minute or so, even while playing, i lost a couple of matches due to that. After updating, it got worse, both contollers got unpaired, had to hard reset them, and this was all with barely one hour after unboxing it, brand new. If you're looking for a split game pad, go for a better one at a higher price, this one's not worth the money.

Try it out!
Great controller! Works with all my android apps, can use with just the left side (which is primarily what I do). Glad I tried it.

Its still not the perfect mobile controller.
Read on some reviews that it can be used on a S22 Ultra with bumper hence bought this but its totally not. The side grooves are just not thick enough. Only when the bumpers are removed, will the phone slide in and its a snug fit meaning that the lenses are rubbing onto the pad. And on top of this, the app doesn't allow customization like other branded controllers which allows you to select auto fire/turbo do offsets or even work on apps/games that are not in the list. The buttons esp those on the right are too near to the analog stick or in a way, the analog stick is too near to the buttons. The grip v triggers seems awfully awkward as the triggers are kinda near to the palm so if you want to rest the handle on your palm while the thumb presses the buttons, it becomes hard to use the triggers.
