Easy to use, great device

I’ve used a few laser distance meters before, but this one is honestly on another level. The build quality feels very solid and premium, and the measurements are extremely accurate — it even displays three decimal points, which is something my previous meters never had. The device has only one button, which makes it incredibly easy to use. You just point, click, and the reading appears instantly. No complicated menu, no unnecessary settings — exactly what you need when working quickly.

I ordered the Bosch Laser Measure EasyDistance 20 specifically to single handedly measure the precise locations of ceiling spotlights in my recording studio. I needed to do this in order for an acoustic panel supplier to pre-drill holes for the spotlights in some of the ceiling panels. I did try to make measurements with a tape measure but it proved to be virtually impossible on my own. The product arrived promptly and was very intuitive to use for my purposes which was to measure the distance from the centre of each spotlight to one front wall and one sidewall. Before I started I made a few test measurements against a tape measure which initially seemed to have a consistent over measure. I quickly realised that the length of the device is included in the measurement so that the test measurements were in fact very accurate. In use it is important to get the shortest distance straight line between the device and the wall on which it is pointed. That said it is probably easier to do that with this device than with a tape measure and in any event walls, floors and ceilings are rarely even so there is a limit to the accuracy of measurement either way. I made 2 measurements for each distance and found them to be very close such that I am confident that all my measurements will be accurate to a good tolerance. Overall the device proved ideal for the job and will be useful for further critical positioning of monitors.

Good easy to use, good accuracy on repeat readings. Found it difficult to see red dot (where laser hits target) over longer distances (12m plus) in daylight. Under darker conditions 20m was no problem. Very small - easily misplaced. Good value for money.

This is a review of the Bosch laser measure EasyDistance 20. This is one of the products that you buy for one thing, then suddenly find it useful for so much more. I bought it to make measuring rooms much easier. But I have found it also useful for measuring in small spaces, inside kitchen cabinets for example. Good quality product, only to be expected from Bosch.

Der Bosch Laser-Entfernungsmesser EasyDistance 20 hat mich absolut überzeugt. Das Gerät ist sehr kompakt, liegt gut in der Hand und ist sofort einsatzbereit – ideal für schnelle Messungen im Alltag oder bei kleineren Projekten. Die Messungen sind präzise und werden in Sekundenschnelle angezeigt. Besonders praktisch finde ich die einfache Bedienung mit nur wenigen Tasten, sodass man sich nicht lange einarbeiten muss. Auch das Display ist gut ablesbar, selbst bei schlechteren Lichtverhältnissen.
