Wow what a fantastic product and I wish I'd bought them years ago. I've always made do with the old type of wire cutters. These arrived just a short while ago and I was keen to try them straight away. I've done a short video as I was so impressed at how quick and easy it is to cut different types of wire using these cutters. So I've cut ring main cable, a normal extension lead type cable 13 amp and finally just to test the limits I tried an old phone cable. Absolutely no adjustments required on any of the cables, just place the cable between the jaws squeeze the handles and hey presto, the wire is stripped.

I purchased these wire strippers specifically to strip UK standard twin and earth (CPC) cable for lighting installation. I needed something quick to function and reliable and these did not disappoint. I see many on the market that are significantly more expensive and I just can't justify paying that much to try them out so gave these a try. They feel very solid and have performed admirablely. I am yet to try them on a larger variety of cable but will report back as my experience expands. So far I have used them for a large volume of lighting installs using 1.5mm twin and CPC. I found the cable strip length gauge thingy a little less useful than I would expect and tend to just move it out the way. After a few tries I can easily manage to get the strip length exactly as I want it without needing the gage anyway. The only downside I can think of is the weight. They seem a little heavy but actually that is also a positive. They seem like they will last a while. I expect I will probably accidentally damage the stripping length gauge at some point putting this in and out of a pocket. Also, there are a few sharp edges but that has not bothered me yet.

I like Stanley hand tools, but this is very nice. Wires are stripped effortlessly. The cutter works fine too, but you have to get the cable between the handles; but hey ho. As a wire stripper, it is adjustable and properly excellent. 5 stars.

Never thought I would need something like this after so many years of using side cutters. But wow. What a time saver and so easy to use.

The best tool of its type.

These have been a brilliant bit of kit to have whilst completing a Electrical Installations course. I would highly recommend them to anyone carrying out any electrical work. They are nice and easy to hold in your hand, not too bulky. They feel very sturdy too. They cleanly strip the outer insulation, and the insulation of the cables with ease. It also has an adjustable setting so you can strip the insulation to your desired length up to 16mm. The wire cutter are also great. I haven't used the crimpers yet so I cannot comment on them.

Brilliant product that is worth every penny. Produces neat results and saves time and waste.

Weil ich in letzter Zeit im Haushalt und im Rahmen einiger Elektronik-Bastelprojekte immer häufiger einmal Kabel schneiden und die Litzen freilegen musste, habe ich mir diesen praktischen Helfer gekauft. Meiner Meinung nach ist es ein perfekter Begleiter für diverse Aufgaben im Haushalt mit einer soliden Bauweise, einer guten Haptik, die für angenehmes Arbeiten sorgt. Die Verwendung des Schneiders ist völlig unkompliziert und selbsterklärend. Kabel anlegen, Zange betätigen, fertig. Bis 6mm Kabel lassen sich dort gut abisolieren. Ich habe so problemlos und sauber Lautsprecherkabel mit 6mm2 Stärke, einfache Litzen (0,14mm2 bis 1,5mm2) abisoliert sowie gängige Kabel im Haushalt verarbeitet. So lassen sich gut auch passende Aderendhülsen oder Kabelschuhe anbringen. Zwar gibt es hierfür auch eine passende Vorrichtung, aber dafür nutze ich eine separate Crimpzange. Dennoch funktioniert das einfach Crimpen auch hiermit gut. Ein praktisches, rundum gelungenes und sauber verarbeitetes Werkzeug. Verpackung einfach gehalten; dadurch wenig Müll. Ich mag die Farben, die Stanley wählt. Da fallen die Tools im Werkzeugkasten sofort ins Auge. Die Bilder zeigen die Schritte "Kabel vorbereiten, Zange einstellen auf Abisolierlänge", "Anlegen des LS-Kabels an Arretierung", "Ergebnis nach einmaligem Abziehen". Weil ich die Amazon-Rezensionen auch für meine Einkäufe nutze und sehr hilfreich finde, hinterlasse ich bei Produkten, die ich selbst gekauft und für mich ausgiebig getestet habe, eine Bewertung, um anderen potentiellen Käufern bei ihrer Kaufentscheidung zu helfen. Tool strips and cuts all wire gauges so simple. So quick. Sheath and out insulation round of flat. Micro adjustment of wire gauge to smaller gauges. What would a 1/2 hour to 1 hour now takes literally seconds. Never look back to another tool. These is an issue with small lengths of wire slippage too much on the insulation before stripping.
