I had previously installed 3 of the units with buttons but the when the toilet lid was raised, it pretty much covered the button making it harder to flush. These flush levers solved that problem nicely. The only issue I had when installing them was that the green clip that holds it in was not a spring loaded clip like the blue button. Another thing that wasn't mentioned in the instructions that made it easier to install was that I slight pushed down on the lever as I pushed in the box which allowed the box to 'pop' in. Pretty happy with the lever for now. I do remember reading that the levers were not as durable as the button when I was deciding which one to buy though...Guess I will see how long they last.

The original flush mechanism was difficult to activate by children and seniors. Since I installed the Danco split handle flush lever everyone is happy and the toilet flushes great..it is much easier to operate than the two piece button flusher included with the retro kit. I’ll convert all my other toilets to the flush lever.

I've never had a project go so smoothly or quickly. These handles have a plastic "stem" on the back side that goes through and into the small box inside the tank. The stem on mine broke, having been used for many years. I did not install these toilet "insides", so when I look in the tank, they've always made me feel so confused. Turns out, this fix was the easiest toilet repair I've ever done. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I had the thing working beautifully again in less than 3 minutes. Incredible! Would give it 10 stars if I could!

Bought a dual flush kit from Costco that came with the split button. The housing of the buttons sat out too far that the lid of the seat rested on the button as opposed onto the tank lid. Decided to order one of these handles to see if it fixes the problem. The pivot point of this handle tapers down and therefore clears the 2 lids now. Very happy with the clearance, but plastic construction leaves a little to be desired. BE SURE TO CHECK THAT THE CONTROL BOX THIS CONNECTS TO ON YOUR CURRENT KIT HAS THE GREEN CONNECTOR. BLUE CONNECTOR ONLY IS NOT COMPATIBLE!! I'm not sure why folks mark it less stars for this fact. Waiting for them to come back in stock so I can get 2 more.
