Doesnt matter which way you turn it, the bubble stays in the same place unlike cheap levels. Nice and heavy so it seats well. Really nice quality item. Im a clock restorer and things need to be absolutely level or the pendulum swing will be out. So glad I damaged my old one and had to buy this as a replacement.
