The idea of leaving the floor gleaming and with this fresh smell of citrus did not work out. The floor did get cleaned but there was no fresh smell of citrus which was one of the main reasons for selecting this model. Should we add double the amount of citrus or would that be harmful to the working parts of the steamer. By adding more citrus would add to the cost, We have bought this so will have to live with it like so many other things we buy today which does not do what it says on the tin.

Based on previous reviews I was hoping for a nice smell and powerful cleaning. I didn't noticeably get either despite using more than the guideline amount. As for making it easier, or quicker or better cleaning results I can say that is all completely untrue on my kitchen floor. I struggle to see any difference, it potentially may have killed 99.9% of bacteria, but that is not enough for me to purchase again.

As most of our downstairs rooms have stone floors we thought we'd buy a Vax steam mop and added a pack of this to the order. Having now used the steam mop both with and without 'Citrus Burst' detergent I have to say we were unable to tell the difference when cleaning our floors. We thought that grout in a wet room seemed marginally cleaner when detergent was added (but had already cleaned it once without) and did not notice a fresh citrus smell after using this detergent in our steam mop. If you take the lid off the bottle and have a sniff it smells of lemon - pleasant but not at all strong when you consider it is diluted when used in the recommended ratio of 8:1 - enough for at least 10 washes of all our floors and shower room. Is it worth the money? We don't think so and agree with a Which review which concluded that 'if you choose a Best Buy steam mop detergent isn’t necessary'.

I first bought these from a groupon voucher and have continued to buy them as they make the floor smell clean. For those of you with a steam cleaner you will be able to relate to the lack of a clean smell without the detergent. Also, it seems to make the floor cleaner( i.e. The steam pad is dirtier). Also, you only need a tiny bit diluted and so it lasts for ages. I've just checked , I bought 2 of these 7 months ago !

Have bought before and will continue to buy. Does what it says on the tin. Effective steam cleaner detergent. Convenient and competitively priced on Amazon.

These products from the original brand are normally very expensive. Indeed the scent is nice, but it does not justify the price. If you can find it half price as many times happen, then go for it. If not... Any other brand will make the work perfectly. And bear in mind this product does not last long if you set the max dose on the steam cleaner. It literally evaporates.

This was a replacement detergent for my Vax steam cleaner, as recommended by the manufacturer. It is a fairly thin detergent liquid, presumably so there is no danger of clogging the machines nozzle. You put in a small amount, then add some water, so a little goes quite a long way, and the full container lasts me quite a long time with a modest amount of floor cleaning every couple of weeks.It claims to be antibacterial, but not sure quite how much better it is than just the basic steam function, but it does leave a nice but not overpowering lemon smell which soon fades. This product at full price does seem prohibitively expensive for what it does, I picked it up for half price, which seemed more reasonable . It does the job, does not leave any streaks or residues ,and is compatible with the Vax Steam Cleaner I have not seen this available in any local shops, so had to order via the internet, but by lumping it together with other items for free delivery, it then comes out more reasonable value for money.

This is a great product as in it cleans your carpets well, but I can’t smell a citrus smell at all.

Très bien pour balais vapeur avec réservoir pour détergent. Ne mousse pas. Odeur très légère voir peut-être même trop pour le coup!
