I bought this because my old shredder broke down. I chose a different shredder with a finer cut. The nice thing is the collection drawer just pulls out. On my other models it was a case of removing the whole shredder head to empty the bin. These heads are quite heavy and sometimes awkward to put back. The drawer on this is quite large and is so easy to remove. The best thing is it’s on wheels and really easy to move about. I would think you could leave the wheels off if needed especially to put it on a stand or table. It’s effective at shredding and doesn’t have to be emptied every five minutes. I cannot comment on the noise but these machines are doing a task that requires heavy moving blades so you should expect sound. It’s not an overpowering or unpleasant noise. It’s a nice size for a home shredder and a decent price considering its size and quality. I would recommend it.

It's our second one of these, and they are absolutely fine. Which is more than can be said for the delivery company, DHL's first driver. Made no effort yesterday to get to our place, and allegedly put a card through someone's door, but certainly not ours. By stark contrast, the DHL driver who delivered the shredder today was the epitome of promptness and courtesy.

The box came a bit damaged but there was another undamaged box inside the damaged one so the shredder was perfectly fine; that's more of an issue with Amazon delivery. The shredder was easy to fit (just had to pop the 4 wheels in). It's a fair size and can fit 60-100 pages shredded before you need to empty it. I was a little disappointed when i saw one small shredded piece of paper inside the bin as this means I was sent a shredder which had already been used by someone else and returned. However, everything is working fine, no damage, no issues at all so I've kept it. (we have all returned stuff before which would be passed to other!). The microshredding is great and gives you that extra peace of mind. The wheels means it's easy to manoeuvre and stow away, and you can remove the wheels if you want to place it on a table. It shreds cards as described, and I also tried to keep it running for longer than 3 min and I had no issues. I also tried more than 8 papers and it still worked fine (although I would advise to follow the given instructions). Overall, it does exactly what it says and I'm very happy!

Just on first use without any long-term views this might be almost the perfect home shredder. Firstly it's fair to say the pieces this puts out are very tiny, if the CIA had used this in '79 the Iranians would have torn their hair out. Secondly yes the paper capacity isn't huge - I've only tested with (thick) single sheets and it has no obvious problem. The bin isn't huge but then it doesn't need to be for a home user. If you're not doing > 20 sheets a day you'll have no problem with any of this. In an ideal world it would take half-folded sheets - it only takes slightly larger than triple folded sheets which many letters already use - it's not a massively huge deal though, just an in a perfect world deal. The only question really is how long it lasts but the first impressions I have is that it's almost perfect. Edit: few weeks later still going strong. I actually tried pushing it to its limits a little bit by putting a credit card sized plastic membership card through it which it happily shredded into confetti (not had the opportunity to test a real credit card on it yet) - this is obviously wildly out of spec and maybe you shouldn't do it but it did work... It can tend towards shredding rather than cutting if you really tax it but IMHO that just makes documents even harder to reconstruct. Edit: Almost 2 years still going strong, the little shredder that could :) Edit: May 2022 - I lost my little shredder. I mean really I lost it in a house move - it was still going strong, and I'd been using it for shredding (many) documents related to mortgages and legal documents related to that house purchase. Let me tell you I'm back to buy another one - only this one I'm gonna buy some oil for and treat it right. Over the years I've shredded very thick paper, political party membership cards (yes you, Theresa May), credit cards (with chip), bank cards (with chip) and at least one driving licence card. It never once overheated, never once refused to shred something. In re comments others have made: yes, it's a very small shredder, it really would be useless outside normal home use not least because you can't put unfolded A4 paper in it - if all you want it for is shredding home bank statements and other normal private personal documents. You shouldn't quad fold the paper but use a three-way fold like some letters are sent (which is convenient because you can put those straight in it no fuss). I never tried shredding a cd, feel like it probably wouldn't and definitely not a blu ray disc - though I haven't even seen one in years.. For the vast majority of HOME users (I can't reiterate that part strongly enough) it'll handle everything you can throw at it and more and do it far more securely than a shredder that costs 6x the price.

This is a very handy size. It sits in 4 castor wheels so is very easy to move around. Movement is of course limited by the length of the power cable which us approx 1m long. Shredding is quick and not too noisy. The shredding bin is accessed at front by pulling the front out. A sticker on the front say "max 8 sheets" but it easily does 12 sheets of printer/copy paper in one go. We are using it in a domestic situation so the auto power cut off after 30mins of use might not suit office use. Again though, a sticker on the front says it will work for 3minutes before stopping working. In reality it'll work for about 30mins if you feed 3-5 sheets through at a time. Before buying this we used an Amazon Basics strip shedder for about 5 years. That cost about £30. The Duronics was about £89 - so much more expensive. Comparing the two the Duronics is a lot quieter, it cross shreds, the bin has slightly more capacity and it's easier to move around while leaving it plugged in. We are very pleased with the Duronic. Time will tell whether it lasts as long as the Amazon shredder.

Poor It only works intermittently and the basket needs wriggling and pushing to get a connection so that the light turns on. Unfortunately they will not replace as out of window ( more than 30 days) despite us trying for ages thinking the fault was ours. So very poor after service too
