Does the job well, and it COMES WITH FIXING SCREWS
I used mine to fix a new SSD into a 3.5" bay, the SSD is smaller and needs to be held in place. This item used to be called a caddy in the good old days - but things have moved on. This one has a female power and female data connection array at one end. You take the SSD and slide it into that female socket array, then, using the fixing screws, one on each corner, you simply screw the drive onto the tray. Don't overdo the tightness, you're not fixing a shelf in the kitchen! Once you have the drive secured in the tray, you locate a vacant 3.5" bay in your desktop computer case, and fix the tray into it, it is really easy, just align the holes and use the screws provided. The only thing that can go wrong is you could fix it backwards and not be able to access the cable connections. Check that before you fix the screws!. Once in place, the tray has male pins projecting out from one end, to which you just connected your SSD on the other, female, side. Find these pins and then push carefully, the power connector, and the SATA 3 cable, probably you'll need a sata cable with a right hand end on one end, or the cable may sail a bit close to the edge of the case. Once you've done this, connect the other end of the sata 3 cable into one of the free motherboard sata 3 sockets - if you're not sure, follow the data cable from one of your other drives to see where it is connected on the motherboard - the sata sockets on my motherboard are all in a straight row, two in use (the HDD and the Optical Drive - dvd drive) and there were two sockets free. Once you've done that, close up the case and get on with your work! - if you are fitting an optical drive, or another HDD the procedure is the same, though most HDD drives ARE 3.5" so you shouldnt need this tray anyway. Good product, easy to use, and most important, they supply the screws you will need to fix it into your pride and joy computer!

Good product - does the job!
Good product as very sturdy and contained all the necessary threaded holes (in my case) to fastened a 2.5 inches SATA SSD to the chassis/slot designed for a 3.5 inches HDD drive

Perfect for home server installs
Bought this for my HP Microserver Gen 8 as I read some cheaper more generic brackets don't quite fit the drive slots. The extra few pounds was worth it as this did the job perfectly. Fit securely first time, would buy again.

Good product, but not extraordinary
Me manically and electrically, this bracket is well made, and it does the job. However, in my opinion it is over engineered and not thoroughly thought out so it won't suit everybody. I am an IT tech and got this for a client's SFF PC. Because this bracket was designed to be as thin as possible, not all mounting holes were available and this proved to be a problem with the PC I was working on. Ultimately, I was able to use it and worked well, but placing it in the HDD cage took much more work and ingenuity than expected. I think a simple bent sheet-metal bracket would have done the job just as well, perhaps better. Still, it is well made and most people will not encounter such problems, so study your computer's design and that of the bracket and make up your own mind.

Great for Simple SSD Fitting
Wanted to fit SSD drive in to a Dell desktop PC which has a plastic cage & clips designed to hold a 3.5" drive, and a single SATA power cable with two connectors for the two drive bays. This bit of kit brings the SATA connectors on the 2.5" SSD into exactly the same position as on a 3.5" drive so the existing cables line up fit perfectly, and it clips into the Dell plastic drive cage. A solidly built frame supplied with fixing screws which fitted and lined-up with my SSD. This really made the swap-over after cloning my C (Windows OS) drive very straightforward. Other (cheaper) SSD frames place the SATA connectors centrally (and sometimes lower) in the bay so unless you're lucky you may need different or extension SATA cables to connect the drive. This gets over these problems - thoroughly recommended.

Excellent quality and design
There are so many 2.5 to 3.5” adaptors available but I was drawn to this one because of the design and apparent build quality. I was not disappointed when it arrived. This is a very well made piece of kit - simple but very effective. The SSD fits perfectly and I love that it plugs into the adapter and then the PC SATA cable plugs into the adaptor itself. Lines up nicely with the three spinning dives in the drive bay. I know I could have spent a bit less, and I won’t even look at this again for a while, but when I need to adapt another drive I’ll certainly be getting another of these.

Great design and functionality
I wanted to mount a 2.5" SSD in a desktop and needed a 3.5" adapter tray. Yes, there are cheaper ones for a quarter of the price but these mounts typically just "widen" your drive so you can mount the smaller drive in your 3.5" wide drive slot; meaning that you need to connect the data and power cables directly to the SSD. If you have a cheap SSD you may not care but when you have a large capacity SSD that cost you a fair penny then THIS version is better. How so, you might ask. Well, the power and data connectors on an SSD aren't very rigid (I learned this the hard way). So, when you need to attach two cables (the power and data cables) to the drive, typically while already having another drive on the cable, this actually puts the SSD connectors under quite a bit of sideways pressure and pull. So much, that they can actually snap. This is not a theoretical scenario and happened to me. This type of adapter tray avoids this because your SSD connects into a "dock" in the tray, and the tray connectors are much more rigid and robust. Although there are cheaper trays out there I'd say that this IS the better solution, and had I used this solution from the beginning I would have saved myself £200.

Well made, fits perfectly
Makes a 2.5in disk the same width dimension as a 3.5in which is handy for inserting into my drive duplicator as I no longer have to unscrew the 2.5in disk from its drive caddy. The 'skeleton' frame allows good airflow around the drive plus being made of a decent bit of alloy will also act as a heatsink (if the drive internals conduct heat to the contact areas obvs). All mounting screws are provided. Instructions are a bit sparse but if you need them you're probably not the target market :-) Installed into my NAS and working nicely
