esinkin Bluetooth Receiver for Music Streaming Sound System

I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the 1 star reviews. Range, pairing, sound quality, included plug not being uk 3 pin etc,etc. Received this little gem about 3 hours ago. Plugged in to 1979/80 Marantz tuner amp (first one I bought with my own money). Powered both amp and this gem up and immediately able to pair my phone (Android). Navigated on phone to my audio server, and able to play any track at will. Then plugged this gem into another amp, a 1977/78 Optonica SM-1515. Again it worked immediately. The sound was probably not what an audiophile wants to hear, the tracks I have are mainly MP3, but for my enjoyment sounded absolutely great. The only problem with sound being on my Marantz where the knobs caused crackling due to having been stored in the attic for nearly 15 years, so maybe a little dirty. I then went to Radio-uk.co.uk and clicked on various radio stations, all of which came through the hi-fi speakers as clear as I would want them. The plug was a UK 3 pin plug so no worries about a 2 pin EU plug and having to run around finding a 2 pin plug adapter. Regarding the range, I have no need, and therefore have not tested range as my phone will remain next to the hi-fi in the same room. I had been near to buying a DAB+/internet radio separate with bluetooth to enable my listening of internet radio and my locally stored MP3s, but this little gem saved me about £105 and all the hassle of setting up DLNA on my audio server. For a tiny item at a small cost, I am now able to have huge sound and radio from around the world through my ancient hi-fi, that still works great.

My 3 year old Bluetooth DAB Hi Fi system developed a fatal fault and couldn't be repaired and The price of a replacement was totally outrageous considering what I paid for the original. So I re-installed my trusty Kenwood Component Hi Fi, carefully stored in the attic only I left the Cassette player in its box! The sound quality was amazing and it was while searching for another Bluetooth Hi Fi that I accidentally came across a page full of Bluetooth Audio Adaptors. After reading through the product reviews of several I opted for the esinkin and placed my order along with a set of Cable Mountain 0.5m High Quality RCA connectors. I have to say that this is by far the one of the niftiest bit of kits I have ever purchased. Simple to install and so easy to connect, so far I have individually connected with my phone, my PC, Laptop and tablet, using the 'Aux' setting on the Hi Fi. The audio Jack on the front of the esinkin box also allows you to connect an iPod or similar music player. The playback quality is excellent, purists may say otherwise, but for someone like me it sounds no different to the very expensive Bluetooth Hi Fi that went belly up. I have given this a 5 star rating because it is deserving of that. It looks good and although it glows blue when powered up it is not really that noticeable, normally it sits at the side of the Hi Fi and is permanently connected to power, but I have placed it on the top so that you can get a feel for the size and looks. Great little gizmo and great value when you consider that a new Bluetooth Hi Fi would have set me back at least 10 times the cost of the esinkin. Bluetooth adaptor, it has breathed new life into my Kenwood and saved me money on a replacement system.

Ok let's start. If you have upgraded your smart TV to the latest model you will have noticed there is no RCA, optical, or jack plug ports. . That's when I had a problem. Because I have an old Sony amplifier which does have hdmi but not hdmi. Arc ( audio return channel.) so I was unable to get sound out from TV to my amp & speakers. So I bought a Bluetooth device with RCA, optical, and coaxial ports. ( Not this one) This was advertised by seller as send & receive signals. So I thought great. It arrived and I plugged it into my receiver and paired it to my tvs Bluetooth. No joy it would not go into recieving mode. I tried everything but no. I contacted the seller and they said it does not receive. I told them that it was advertised as such so the product is not fit for purpose. They said sorry would you like me to show you how to set it up!!. Any way I sent the product back and bought this little beauty. In less that 5 minutes from plugging in and pairing to my TV Bluetooth I had sound booming out my speakers in 5.1 sound. Also paired with my phone with ease. So there you have it. At £15 it worth every penny and will solve your advanced technology problems( for now) until they bring out something else!

First one of these I bought and setup was nice and simple. It lets me push the audio from my old PC via Bluetooth to different rooms around my house. So much neater than having cables everywhere. Big bonus for me is it lets me reuse old speakers and HiFi systems I already had without having to replace them. Setup has been simple. Happily remembers settings when power is off. The main problem I have found is what happens when you have more than one. It would be good if they had a more unique device name, or some way of changing the name. On the Win10 PC I am using both of these come up as "Esinkin BT Adapter". I have attempted to hack Win10's registry to attempt to rename them so I can tell them apart. Trouble is this doesn't stick and is lost on a reboot or next time they connect. EDIT: Three years later, July 2020 I add a note. I had almost forgotten about these little devices as they work so well. The PC pushes the audio to two sets of speakers connected to these elsewhere in the house. And they work so well. I just swap the speaker output on the Win10 PC and the music plays in the Kitchen or Bedroom from the main media centre PC. (Kitchen going through three thick Victorian walls) So simple, so excellent. I see reviews complaining about crackles and duff power supplies. But I also see 1600+ happy reviews. We can't all be fake reviewers. Maybe a few unlucky purchasers with duff kit. At the cost these have been brilliant. And LEDs too bright? That is what gaffa tape \ blu-tack is for. All the best kit is the stuff you forget about because it "just works". Excellent purchase.

Bought to bluejack in to an old stereo in a workshop rather than having a dozen different cables kicking about to fit all the phones we would use to stave off listening to the radio all day. All the cables needed come with it, I fitted it in seconds and it hasn't sat unused once. Even covered in 5mm of dust and being forgotten about for a couple of months hasn't dulled its tardiness.

We have a few conventional hifi systems in the house, and are using this on our kitchen system (NAD 310 amp, Mordaunt Short Avant speakers) to hook up blue tooth devices. I use an Audioengine B1 on another system (Cyrus 8DAC, Monitor Audio Bronze 2) and, although the B1 has very positive reviews for its sound quality (and I’ve been quite happy using it for more than two years now) I’m not sure this cheap alternative isn’t actually more or less every bit as good. The Esinkin adapter and the one from Logitech appear to be clones, so given my comparison of its audio qualities compared with the B1, I’d say it was a no-brainier to opt for the Esinkin as long as it is cheaper than the Logitech. My only minor criticism, which I see is voiced in other reviews, is that this device is somewhat over-keen to connect with the first device which it detects. I simply connect it to its power supply at the same time as I connect it to a device and I can’t say that connection is anything other than an occasional and insignificant problem. Having paid under £20 for it, simply I don’t consider this an issue. Mainly I use it to play an Echo device through the kitchen system, which sounds a little redundant given that the Echo has a line-output, but for various reasons the Echo is in a different part of the room from the hifi and it is neither practical nor sightly to run a long lead between the two. The Esinkin also gets used on occasion with phones and tablets and, excepting the slight issue involving its keenness to connect with other devices, it works flawlessly. I haven’t tried the Esinkin through my main, and very revealing, system (Rega Elex-R, B&W 705S2), although I have tried the Audioengine B1. I think that in this system the B1 sounds extremely inferior compared to analogue sources (so I don’t use it in this system). I can’t quite imagine the Esinkin would fare any better. However, there is no need to use either the Audioengine or Esinkin on this system as I have linked it up with the line-out of a 3rd gen Echo Dot. On all sources through the Dot (internet radio, Amazon Music HD and Ultra HD, and using the Dot as a blue tooth device), the sound quality is at the very least acceptable and at best as good as CD (and better than DAB). So, in summary: if you want to blue tooth enable a conventional hifi system, then use an Echo or Echo Dot (or presumably some other similarly purposed and quality device), but if you’re averse to Alexa’s dulcet tones, Amazon’s hegemony, or if you can’t plug an Echo or similar device in via line level, then the little Esinkin device provides an excellent, inexpensive solution.

Having a older Marley speaker with the old iPod connection it was a pain using my iPhone as the only way of connecting was by using the aux lead, this meant that every time I wanted to skip a song or adjust a volume I had to revisit the 80's and drag myself off the sofa to make the perilous Trip across the lounge to make the necessary adjustments. This would be fine but I am a serial track skipper and as a fully fledged couch potato this extra exertion wasn't acceptable. So looking at my options I stumbled across this Bluetooth adapter and did the necessary research, decision made and order placed I had the extremely long wait to the next day before this life changing gadget would arrive. It arrived promptly the next day and I considered for one second to do a unboxing and set up video and post it all over the internet, I decided not to because I am not a virgin with no friends and honestly have you ever seen a decent unboxing video where the geek didn't come across as someone who probably breast fed until they were nearly 20!! I plugged the adapter in and set it up which took a matter of a few seconds, linked my iPhone and played a few tracks. If there is any loss of audio quality I couldn't detect it, my ears however are 44 years old and in that time have been worn out with near constant BS. Like you do with any new gadget my eagerness to connect everything in the house was overwhelming and moments later my mac book pro was also connected. What can I say this little box works wonders and anything with either RCA or 3.5 pin outputs and Bluetooth can be connected. The quality is it is fantastic and so far I don't have a single thing to moan about which according to my long suffering partner is a first. If you are in the market for a Bluetooth adapter don't bother with ones that look very similar but cost a lot more, this is one from esinkin is top quality and won't cost you many groats.

This Bluetooth receiver is just what i was looking for, for my vintage stereo, it uses power and can be connected to a speaker or stereo via RCA to RCA or RCA to Aux supplied, Setting up was a breeze, push the top button to switch it on it will start flashing, turn your bluetooth on your laptop or mobile and look for esinkin BT adapter, press pair and it should connect and you wont need to set it up again once done, remember to set up your input selector on your stereo, mine was set to AUX, you can set up two devices to this BT receiver. Great little device with no interference to speak of, good price too..
