With no hope of safety in Alexandria, Rick and his band of survivors soon discover a larger world beyond what they understood it to be. In this new reality, there are new dangers, new opportunities and new complexities and face. To claim their place in this newfound landscape, the group must become the threat themselves, as terrifying as any of the adversaries they've encountered. Review: This is the best show on earth. - This show in my opinion is the greatest show on earth. I've seen all but one season of Game of Thrones, am getting stuck into Breaking Bad, and have seen my fair share of great TV shows (the second best of which being Peaky Blinders) but none are quite like this show. In my mind, it isn't perfect, but it may as well be. Many people say it gets better with each season... they're right. let me outline some things for you (rather a lot of spoilers): Season 1: Very good introductory season, made me want to watch some more, but that was really it, it's there to introduce the show, a few silly continuity errors, but we can get round that. Season 2: A lot of people say it's dull, and I don't completely disagree, I too stopped for a bit after a few episodes, but was brought back and boy am I glad I was. Some episodes are amazing, gotta love Shane and Jon Bernthal, but some do drag a little, the last 3/4 are really good. I think a lot of people hate on it because they tried to concentrate more on character development than gore. Season 3: This was where I thought it really took off, incredible season, the governor is awesome, but some of the Woodbury stuff may seem a little drawn out, absolutely adore this season though, was around the point I started to properly love the show. Season 4: Some of the stuff at the beginning (the governor's story episodes) weren't quite as enthralling as the rest, but the rest of the season, especially after the prison, was incredible. "What you gonna do now sport?" Season 5: The premiere is still one of my favourite episodes of TV to date having watched it 4 or so times, and the rest of the season really is just so good, there was no doubt in my mind at this point it was my favourite TV show of all time. Some of Beth's stuff felt a little unneeded but I'm never going to forget her death scene, which is then followed next episode by Tyreese!!! One of the deaths that actually hit me the hardest in one of the best made episodes I believe. Season 6: Now I can't think of anything properly wrong with this season except some might say Morgan's episode, which I still thought was really good, and then Glenn's fake death, but even though it may have been predictable, if he had died, I might have too... Overall, this show takes up way too big a portion of my life, and I could and do talk about it for days, and this is so much because I just love the characters way too much!!! I know it's predictable, but Daryl is my favourite, he's just come so far and is so awesome, but I just absolutely love everyone else as well way too much, and have no doubt I'll be grieving for months after the season 7 premiere! So this was about a hundredth of why this is the best TV show on earth, I just felt the need to vent you know? I know everyone's so hung up on Negan's victim, but I can't be the only one super psyched for Jesus this season, he is quickly becoming one of my favourite characters! Review: TV and story telling at its very best! - Let's put this into perspective. So a whole lot of people are angry at Gimple and Kirkman for not giving them the pay-off they think they deserved in an additional (or redirected) last two minutes of a 16 episode season 6. Almost without exception, everyone agrees that, otherwise, this has been the best season to date. Even those who despise the ending of episode 16 of season 6 can't stop themselves postulating possible outcomes and eagerly awaiting the return of the show in October. There are some who have "done with this show" because of that final two minutes of episode 16. That's okay, "I get it". To me, though, that's like having the best holiday ever and then, wishing to finish it off with a '99 ice cream, you find they've run out of flakey chocolate so you declare the whole holiday ruined! Back to Gimple and Kirkman: this is their show that they have put together for us to enjoy. But it is THEIR show. Those who love it do so because of THEIR decisions in putting this show together. Let them get on with it. If you think you can do better, create YOUR own show. See how people react to that! Good or bad, let the creatives do their creating and leave the show's that form by consensus mature, for better or for worse, by the very creatives who are working on such a format. Your time is nigh! "Taking it like a champ!" Thwunk! Thwunk! Thwunk!!...

I'm only on series 7 but loving it
I know this is not a new series I just never watched it on TV. So gar it has been really good, with characters developing and new ones introduced. A good storyline for an old subject. I hope it keeps up on the further series I'm yet to watch. Well recommended so far anyway.

"Everything is people!"
Series 5 ended with Rick covered in blood and gore as he brutally demonstrated to the people of Alexandria exactly what it took to survive in the post-apocalyptic world. It was a series that had many highlights, with the deaths of many regulars and the return of Morgan - played by the always excellent Lennie James - but often meandered through its sixteen episodes; a common criticism of the these longer seasons. It would be fair to say that this series suffers from the same problem but to a lesser degree, as I think it's somewhat tighter than the previous two. The acting is again excellent and there is the introduction of a major new group and charismatic leader. As before, it demonstrates how the greatest danger they face is not from the legions of undead but from other people. I shall now go through the episodes without giving away too many spoilers:- 1. First Time Again - In trying to impress upon the residents of Alexandria what is required to survive in the world as it is, Rick attempts to pre-empt an attack on the town by leading a large group of walkers away but things don't go quite as planned... 2. JSS - The young girl called Enid features heavily as Carol takes charge of the town when it comes under attack from the Wolves. However, Morgan's reluctance to kill threatens to compromise their safety. 3. Thank You - Rick and his crew try to make it back to Alexandria but at a cost... 4. Here's Not Here - An excellent episode devoted to Morgan and how he came to believe that every life was precious. 5. Now - Possibly the weakest episode in which Rick returns to Alexandria but the town is immediately surrounded by walkers. 6. Always Accountable - Daryl, Sasha and Abraham are attacked and Darryl becomes separated. He attempts to help others but is not repaid in kind. 7. Heads Up - Rick and Morgan have an ethical disagreement over how to treat their enemies. The walls are breached... 8. Start To Finish - The walkers invade Alexandria. Deanna is bitten. Carol and Morgan butt heads. Darryl, Sasha and Abraham meet an entirely new group. 9. No Way Out - Darryl comes to the rescue. Rick leads by example. The town comes to realise that they must ALL fight to preserve their community. 10. The Next World - Rick and Darryl encounter a new character. Spencer makes a difficult choice. Rick gets it on... 11. Knots Untie - Rick and several others are taken to another settlement in order to trade. Maggie strikes a bargain on behalf of them all. Abraham is conflicted. 12. Not Tomorrow Yet - As part of their bargain, Rick persuades the town to endorse an attack on another group. In this episode we see our regulars at their most ruthless. 13. The Same Boat - Carol begins to question the need to kill. Are Rick and the rest of the group in danger of losing their humanity in order to preserve their community? 14. Twice As Far - Eugene has a plan to manufacture bullets. Rosita, Darryl and Denise go in search of medical supplies but tragedy ensues. Carol makes a difficult decision. 15. East - Rick and Morgan go off in pursuit of Carol. Glenn, Michonne, Daryl and Rosita are placed in great danger. 16. Last Day On Earth - Rick and the group slowly come to realise the true magnitude of their predicament in what is a magnificent episode! The last fifteen minutes or so is unbearably tense. The ending to this series promises great things for series seven, as I'm sure those currently watching on Fox could attest. How much longer can it run? Who knows?.. As long as the writing is of such quality it could continue for a few more years yet. I'll certainly continue to follow Rick and the group's adventures. In the final analysis, it may not be perfect but it still provides some of the best moments of drama on T.V. As with previous releases, there are hours of extras, with interviews, commentaries and documentaries.

TV can be like music and art - highly subjective. TWD seemed like a joke to so many when it first came out, another ridiculous "zombie" story. Anyone who knew the comics or decided to blindly tune in to check it all out, were quickly hooked. TWD is least about zombies or "walkers" and such much more about the human condition and it's path, when faced with a daily fight for survival and a total lack of security or infrastructure. Zombies are merely at catalyst and you quickly realize that they pose far less of a threat than the living. The story writing is unpredictable and top tier, as each and every season, we continue to be caught off guard and hopelessly concerned about the well being of all the main characters, with whom.we are so invested. When a series leaves you angry, horrified, joyous, nervous or morally judgemental, it has done it's job and then some. I doubt anyone who might be reading this, is doing so without already knowing this series, but to anyone who might be looking to dive in for the first time, just do it but... be prepared to be helplessly hooked into something that that you can not easily escape, not that you will want to
