It's brilliant. I'm female, and have short, very fine hair, that just lays flat in my head, and won't do anything. No matter what I use, it just goes straight and flat again. This is the first thing I've tried that actually works. I put it on my fingertips, and push it into my roots. My hair stands straight up, and stays up. I then just style it with my fingers and a brush. It's amazing. My tip for removing it, is use conditioner on your hair before shampooing. It smells nice too. Fresh, and clean.

I have been trying so many hair products but were not fully happy with them. I found about this product after looking online on blogs and youtube reviews. Then, I decided to give it a try. I have straight Asian type hair and I found this product suits me. The texture is great, not too greasy. The hair is also workable after you have put it on the hair. Easy to rinse off in the shower. The smell is not overpowering. My hair stays put like I want it to be most of the time. So, the hold strength is quite good. However, if there is a strong wind, I found my hair would not stay still as much and I have to restyle my hair again, but I think this is the norm with other products. So far, I keep coming back to this product as it is that good. It also lasts for couple of months. So, worth the money.

I've tried a lot of products looking for something that mediated hold and a no-shine finish. So far nothing on the high street has cut it. This product is not what I would call a wax. It's a lot lighter and way more workable, more of a paste than anything. It works a lot better in the colder months, where it provides a strong hold of around 7/10. A lot of products I've tried have been labelled as 'matte finish' but give disappointing results - this is one of the few that offer a truly matted effect. When the weathers warmer, the paste tends to melt easily and only provides about a 3/10 hold - sweating can quickly turn your finish into more of a greased look. This is my day-to-day hair product, and a tub of this size will easily last 3-4 months. Only one product I've tested is better overall: Label M Matt Paste - though it's double the price. Pros: Firm hold in cooler months. A true matte finish Long Lasting Good value. Cons: Hold is weakened in summer Can be hard to wash off your hands.

When I discovered this stuff 4 years ago, I was worried it might be a bit pricey for what it is (it was almost 8 pounds back then). You get what you pay for. I used loads of waxes before I discovered this and they were too greasy, too shiny, not strong enough, wouldn't tame my hair... This stuff is amazing, after blowdrying I just get a bit on my finger (about the size of my finger tip) and rub it into my hands, run through my hair and style. Finished off with a bit of hairspray this keeps your hair in that style for the whole day, but the great thing about it is, if you want it out, it is so easy to remove without making your hair greasy. From an outside perspective, you literally wouldn't know you had it in and if this is the sort of look you are going for, this is definitely the stuff for you. With a lovely scent, finish and just the right amount of thickness, this is a must-have, especially if you have unruly fine hair like mine. Can't recommend enough!

Reasonable product that holds well, and feels a lot better than some drug store products. However, it is very difficult to wash out of hair, and takes a decent couple of shampooing sessions to remove it all. Can make hair feel quite dry after lots of use, but this will depend on hair type.

Bought for my grandson,who's hair is everything. He loves it. Nice product that does what is sayes and smells good. I've been using there products for years. You think it's pricy but you only need a little so therefore it's economical. Good looking container

On the performance part, this product definitely delivers as promised: it really does hold well - even in difficult weather, like hot temperatures, high humidity, etc. - doesn't shine at all, and washes out relatively easily, mainly with water and perhaps a bit of shampoo/soap. As a heavy user myself (I get through a jar in three weeks, ok it’s a small jar but still) I can definitely see it being a good choice for others, too. These days though there's a lot of different styling products on the market so I often look for more than strictly performance. For example: hair products for women always smell really great and I find that manufacturers have largely neglected this in men's products, which is disappointing. Personally, I prefer Star Wax Clay ( Star Wax | Premium Pomade, Clay, by Star Pro Line - 5 fl oz / 150mL ) or Gatsby mainly because they're paraben-free, though I would lean more toward Star Wax since it has a nicer fragrance and holds better so you get a nice bonus (not to mention the best rinsability of them all). I took off half a star for each of these features that TIGI lacks. So overall, this ends up being a good product, just not a great one.
