The manual offers a one-year warranty. "Should any trouble develop during this one year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one  of Makita's Factory or Authorized Service Centers..." The question is would Makita honour this warranty, I'm not convinced that the router manufacturer didn't just copy Makita's manual. Maybe check with AimsTools.I very highly recommend this router. I have three of them, use them daily for edging and hinge routing. Very happy with them, will be getting 2, possibly 3 more. Merry tools sells the same router, same branding ("Katsu"). You can also find this router branded "HugFlight". There is a cheaper version that looks similar, it has a clear plastic base, no variable speed and a 600w motor. I didn't like the looks of that base, so I went with the Katsu.All 3 of mine came with 1/4" and 3/8" collets. The 3/8" collet DOES NOT hold 8mm bits. I bought a 8mm collet to fit a Makita 3620 and that works fine for 8mm.

It is stated-Most of spare parts are compatible with famous brands. Which guide bushes or collets will fit from other brands?

Collets: mine came with 1/4in and 3/8in collets: Makita RT0700C collets are compatible: 1/4in (Makita part no. 763637-1), 8mm (Makita part no. 763618-5) and 3/8in (Makita part no. 763619-3). Makita also make a 6mm collet but I don't think that they are available in the UK - at least I cannot find a part number listedGuide bushes: the alloy base (fixed base trimmer) has a recess which will take the Makita 10mm steel guide bush (Makita part no. 343577-5) - the plastic sub-base must be removed to install this then replaced. The plastic sub-base (fixed bazse trimmer) has an opening which accommodates "standard" Porter-Cable type guide bushes available from various places - Amazon UK sell the Silverline Imperial sized guide bushes, Axminster Power Tool sell the UJK metric sized guide bushes in the UK

Should this come with a template guide? Page 6 of the manual implies it should, but mine didn’t. This would be very handy. Thanks.

Templates are bespoke or roller bearing trimmer cutter.after all its only a hand trimmer..good luck and remember they still can do damage.
