Have only been using these for about 4 months. Was not told to get by an Optician, but knowing how my eyes were starting to deteriorate and after speaking to my Mum who does use them, as she has early stage Macular disease, I thought I would give them a go. First box (3 months supply) I didn't really notice any difference, wasn't going to reorder, but thought as the price was good on Amazon and I had taken them regularly, that I would buy another box to give them a fair trial. It maybe me being optimistic, but in the last couple of weeks, I have noticed a slight improvement with my eyes (I am long sighted, so have to wear glasses for computer work and reading etc) and I suffer with what I can only describe as dry or tight eyes sometimes and slightly blurred vision in left eye. I do occasionally use standard eye drops, but recently this hasn't been as frequent, as haven't needed to. In short, I shall keep taking these as I think they are helping me. If they are good enough for Opticians to recommend, then they are good enough for me !

Excellent product woul recommend

Have had this product before and seems to fullfill the requirements for helping with eye disorders although any real benefits are purely anecdotal as there are no scientific studies I can find backing them up. Previously deliveries have been by reducing the package to a flat pack which easily goes through a letter box. This last delivery was shipped as the full made up box. Not only was delivery almost 2 weeks but luckily I was in when the postman came. There has been no explanation as to the change in delivery method.

Having seen the benefits (on TV - Trust Me I'm a Doctor) of taking eye supplements I decided to give these a try. I started in September last year and wondered if they could show any results by the time of my annual eye examination / test in December. I was hoping that perhaps for the first time since I began having annual eye tests (free for me as my father had glaucoma) there might be no further deterioration as generally my eyes had weakened by .25 each year. Being at 2.25 in my weakest eye (Dec 2015). Now I do not know if my test in December 2016 was affected by these Macushield Capsules, but the test now gave a reading of 1.75 in my weakest eye - the same as it was in December 2013, three years ago. In my opinion (and whether this is a placebo effect or not I can't say) objects appear sharper and colours more defined. The capsules aren't cheap but the results to me justify keeping on taking them. I'm now interested to see the results of my next eye test in December 2017 and I will update. And yes, it is not a claim that these capsules can give these results in improving vision, I am only reporting factually what has happened to me.

I have wet macular disease and have been taking preservision for the past year. I am one of the lucky ones in that the drug eyelea has prevented deterioration of my sight and in fact improved it. The hospital I attend suggested I take a supplement such as preservision. I saw an advert which explained that macushield now contains another additive i.e. meso zeanthanin which helps absorption of the other ingredients, so I have changed to Macushield. I cannot really make an educated review as yet, but if it does what preservation hopefully did (I will never know for sure if it helped or not) I will continue with Macushield I look on it, that it will do no harm, and hopefully will do a lot of good. A good point is that it works out cheaper in that you only need take one per day. The box which contains 90 capsules of course lasts for three months. This is half the price of my previous supplement.
