Color Wow Root Cover Up, Award-Winning Root Touch Up Powder, Medium Brown

I’ve been colouring my roots in between full colour application for years now (over 15) and I've been using a colour pen, the same make as the colouring I buy. I saw this advertised by someone on social media, someone I trusted and who showed just how good it was and thought I would give it a go. Wow (as the name suggests!), it's amazing!! Literally, you only need a little bit and it's so easy to apply with the brush applicator that comes with it. No mess, no water involved, easy, quick and effective - stays in until the next wash. You apply it to the grey hairline, where needed and does a very good job of disguising greys and regrowth without looking heavy or chalky, and once applied it stays put throughout the day. I also appreciate that it doesn’t leave residue on pillows or transfer easily onto hands. It’s especially useful for quick touch-ups before meetings or going out, and I’ve found it effective for filling in sparse areas around the temples as well as covering roots. The finish looks matte and natural rather than overly pigmented or shiny. Overall, this feels like a high-quality, professional product that delivers on its claims and is ideal for maintaining colour between appointments.

This is by far the best root touch up product out there. I've been using this for over a year now and wouldn't use anything else or be without it.. You can put the product exactly where it is needed, unlike other root touch ups this does not dull hair or leave sticky residue.. It looks completely natural, blends great on roots and around face...without landing on face like the spray variety (no more unwanted dots on face or on whatever is behind you!).. Great if hair thinning too as it colours the scalp and makes hair look thicker.. And it lasts forever so works out cheaper.. Much better for the environment too! I recommend this to all my friends who require root touch up! 😁

This is a review for the medium brown product. The product works very well to cover my greys, looks flawless if I do it carefully, although does make your hair a little powdery textured. Excellent for me to extend amount of time between dying my hair. Lasts between washes but it is effectively make up for your hair so of course it comes out when you wash your hair, so just reapply afterwards. Lasts a long time for me, 6 months plus. It doesn't transfer onto bed clothes. Downsides are the price is extortionate for a tiny block of product, and don't drop it or knock it as it shatters the product and then it isn't usable, which at the price it is is a big shame! 4 stars only from me because of the downsides, but it does what it says for brown hair. I think the blonde ones wouldn't work.

This stuff is incredible! I’ve never liked my hairline and this helps massively! Very easy to apply and looks natural.

I have been having my hair dyed medium brown for years, but now I am 60 the grey roots are really showing through about a week before my colour touch up at the hairdressers is due. I have been using colour dry shampoo to try to cover it, but needed to keep reapplying throughout the day ( which made my hair dry ) When I heard about WOW on daytime TV I thought I would give it a try, even though it cost £28 !! I ordered medium brown, which looks a bit dark at first, but when applied it just blends in with my darker hair and you cannot see a single grey. It looks just like I have had a colour at the hairdressers and now I can go longer between colours (5 weeks instead of 4 ) so it will soon pay for itself. It stays in until you shampoo it out and it doesn't transfer onto skin or clothing. I just wish I had found this product years ago, it definitely does what it says on the tin !!

Covers well, I use on events or nights out to hide my greys in between salon visits. It doesn’t go everywhere and doesn’t run in slight rain. I love this product.

I've been using root touch ups for as long as they existed for my greys, but this is honestly amazing. So much better than the sprays that are hard to keep off the scalp and have that horrible feeling after! Make sure you dab this on rather than doing a sweeping motion and also hairspray afterwards to set the powder!

This root cover up goes on ok and seems to last but I bought medium brown and it is sooo dark it's more like a very dark brown almost black. I have used it very sparingly because it's better than nothing. I need it on the hairline around my face especially the temples. If I put a lot on the effect is too dark and too solid even when I have had a fresh colour put on my roots at the salon, worse when the grey really starts to show. I like it as a product but will probably order it again in light brown in the hope it is the right colour.

It’s a great product! Looks really natural and I use it like a shadow root effect. I get my roots / blonde gloss touched up every 5 weeks but that last week or so can be rough when the grays come back. I bought the medium brown and it works perfectly for my roots to maintain that pretty gradient. You may find that you need to smudge a bit with your finger but it’s not a big deal. It also seems to be water and sweat resistant but still washes right out on wash day.

This Root Cover Up in Medium Brown is my absolute go-to for covering roots. It blends seamlessly with my hair color and looks completely natural - no harsh lines or obvious patches.
