Nubian Soap African Black Soap With Oats, Aloe & Vitamin E 140g

This soap is amazing. I give it five stars for the following reasons: 1) First, the smell - It smells divine, leathers nicely and cleans the skin perfectly without drying it too much. Even my girlfriend which is very sensitive with soaps likes it very much. 2) When other soaps fail to treat your skin issues, Nubian Heritage does not -- Most people try this soap because of skin issues, including skin sensitivity issues. I am very sensitive to most cleansing products; my face becomes a dry, itching mess quite easily. I also still contend with pimples. This soap helps control my acne without turning my face into a dry, red mess. 3) Your skin was soft once and will be again -- This soap has phenomenal moisturizing properties. It feels great on your skin. I don't have to apply baby oil or moisturizing body lotion because this soap does it all. If your hair becomes dry during particular periods of the year, try washing your hair with this bar rather than using hot oils or protein soaks. 4) Ingredients you can pronounce -- I don't want dyes or heavy chemicals in anything I use but especially on my face. This soap has a straightforward ingredient list. This product is vegan in nature with no animal based products and it is not tested on animals. Also, it is a great body soap for all skin types of all ages and ethnicities. I like the extra oils that this bar of soap has added..feels like it will last a long time ....very fine milled, but the only point I'd have is to know exactly what type of oil is used in a particular Nubian Heritage soap. Whether its pal oil or coconut oil exactly.Or, if both are used,I'd like it to be stated.Otherwise,I like very much their soap line. And,this is the great one in particular. Thanks for making such a great product at a reasonable price.I am also now using the Raw Shea Butter lotion made by the same company and I am convinced that I found the perfect combo to great skin.

Great soap and smells amazing. It cured my acne on my back. I use it for hair and body. PROS: 🌟 Cleared my back acne. 🌟 Smells amazing 🌟 Hold together better than other black soaps and does not fall apart. 🌟 Lasts a long time. CONS: 🔶 Can be very messy as leaves black residue wherever you use/place the soap. Would recommend using a soap dish.

Having tried all other black soaps and reacted badly to them - particularly the original 'raw' African black soap that left me with the worst neck rash I've ever had - I'd given up on the idea until I found out about Nubian Heritage's version. Hands down, it's the best I've come across. It leaves the skin squeaky clean and smooth, doesn't dry it as much as the others, has helped to soften blemishes and doesn't blacken the basin as much. On top of it all, I've not experienced any reactions. Of course, it has other ingredients besides the raw African soap base but that doesn't make it less efficient; ultimately, its ingredients are still natural and as long as it takes care of the skin, purism over its composition is unnecessary, in my view (especially if the 'purism' doesn't suit all types of skin). It's definitely one to buy again.

I have mild psoriasis and ordered this as I had heard good things about it. It arrived in just over a week. I used it for the first time tonight, so I don't know yet how it will help my skin, but I expect the natural ingredients will do me more good than chemical soaps. The soap smells nice, not too strong. It left my skin feeling clean, and did not feel like it had left residue which is my usual issue with soaps/aqueous cream (which I normally use). Used it with Uddely Smooth cream (which I swear by) and so far so good. :) I'm a happy customer and I have a feeling this will become a regular part of my beauty routine! I also had a spot, and after using this soap to wash my face about 3 hours ago that's basically gone! But that may be a coincidence!

So, two parts to this review. One negative & one positive so far. Firstly, soap came today in the post. The box the soap came in, its own box not Amazons packaging, looked like it has been kicked around a warehouse a few times, corners scuffed & the colour had come off the edges of the box. Got the soap out, well it fell out onto my lap the box was that shabby, and the soap had a few dents & dinks in it also. Wasn't impressed as had seen a previous review saying exactly the same that her soap had arrived with the box mashed up & looking pretty shabby. Mine was the same. Not being one to be bothered with sending it back I just decided that it's a one off & I order off amazon all of the time & this is the first real problem I've had with many many orders. Secondly, I used the soap just to wash my face, I use a facial cleaning brush, it lathers nicely, smells lovely & did a good job of cleaning my face & removing the remnants of make up I had left over on my face from the day. Wasn't drying on my skin but did leave that washed with a bar of soap kind of feeling afterwards where my face felt slightly tight. Used a hot face cloth to remove the soap & a splash of warm water & dried. I can't leave a wonderful review to tell you to rush out & but it but so far so good & I have very reactive skin so if anything was going to of happened from using it the signs would of shown immediately. Give it a try, I'll use it till it's gone but will unfortunately be the last time I buy if direct from amazon due to the state it arrived in today.

I've tried many different herbal soaps including the well known Dudu Osun, but this is the best I've used. The smell is powerful and sweet, you get a lot of lather so it lasts a long time and it helps with all adverse skin conditions. I've already ordered three more bars and don't even feel like using any of the other soaps I have!

I'm 34 and have always had terrible skin. Always. When I was a kid I had excema and then when I was a teenager I had acne and excema, continuing into adulthood. I have obviously tried many things to help this including steroids for the excema and antibiotics for the acne, but I always seemed to have at least one spot or patch on the go. Since I've started washing my face with this soap, no spots or patches. None. It's been months now. Ironically I was just reaching the point in my body positivity journey where I don't care very much anymore, but there you go. It might not work for you, but it might be worth a try. I also use steam cream moisturiser and drink lots of water, try to exercise and eat well ;)

OHH this was such a disaster! Ive got sensitive combination skin. I washed my face with it, and hot water. my face hurt, was stinging, burning and went bright red. i washed it off and dried it. My face was left red raw, super tight and dry and then it just came up in a huge rash of bright red dots. so i thought ok, ....i loooove the smell so i carried on using it. I decided it might help if i only used luke warm water to wash my face in, so i did and it helped a lot. i carried on using this soap for about 2 weeks and saw an imporvement over time, less red, less rash, but still very drying, by the end of 2 or 3 weeks my face didnt react when i used it, but it did leave my skin really really dry and tight. it didnt feel very nice really.. But i just love the smell!! so i decided only to use it to wahsy my body instead. I looked on here and ordered the nubian heritage she butter , frankincense and murr bar soap instead. I used that and knew from that second , i had found what i now call, my perfect soap. My face loves it! it has cleared up my spots, doesnt irritate and is over all much more gentle and better. Guess its all about trial and error, you gotta find the right soap for your skin. Everyones skin is different... just buy a few nubian soaps and try them out :) If you have quite resilient, acne prone- super oily skin that is always shiny and greasy , give this a go. it might work for you. But i prefer the softer soap. :)

J'adore!! Reçu très vite. Je l'utilise depuis 5 jours. Matin et soir. Point négatif : un peu asséchant. Il fait bien hydrater la peau après usage et un peu salissant pour le lavabo. Point positif: mes tâches de pigmentation disparaissent ( j'ai une peau type métissée et atopique), mon teint est plus uni et surtout ma peau est incroyablement adoucie. L'odeur est très agréable. Je vais en recommander un stock!

I've been using Nubian Heritage-African Black Soap for almost 6 months straight.I have acne-prone skin. When I first started using it, it did make my skin feel dry but soon afterwards, my skin got used to it and it no longer feels dry after I use this soap. This gives a great deep clean to your skin. This works particularly great with an electric cleanser brush. I use a cotton ball with toner right afterwards and there is literally no dirt on it when I use it with the face brush. It has a nice pleasant smell. It's good to use in the shower and it suds up very well. This has helped fade my acne scars and my skin is also less oily. The breakouts that I do have (thanks to those stupid pms hormones [>:(]are smaller and go away pretty quickly. WARNING: MAKE SURE TO KEEP AWAY FROM WATER AFTER YOU ARE FINISHED USING THE PRODUCT because the water will make it smaller faster. I would definitely recommend this to individuals of all races that want a quality organic face cleanser without the crazy price tag. UPDATE: 11/1/13 The frequency with which I use this product has decreased because my skin started to get too oily. it started to strip my skin so I've started using the tea tree oil face wash by the body shop which I really enjoy. I have also started to moisturize my skin with grapeseed oil and my skin isn't oily anymore. I still like to use this soap about once a week instead of everyday to have that deep clean.this is usually on days that i'm about to use a face mask or if i only washed my face once the day before due to falling asleep before i could wash my face at night. I also like to use it as a body wash to help prevent body breakouts.

I'm not a big fan of bar soaps but used this on a friend's recommendation. It surpassed all my expectations. This soap feels like lathering your skin with a high quality conditioner. I don't have that dry feeling anymore after taking a bath. Highly recommended.
