Great for the whole family
This insect is great. Whole family used it during holidays and it did seem to work. It is gentle and has a nice subtle scent which does not hang around. My 8 year old who does not like any skin products actually kept asking for us to apply this cream on which is a great testament in its own right

Very effective and worth the cost.
I bought the Smidge Insect Repellent Spray for a trip to Scotland, knowing I’d be facing swarms of midges. It’s a compact bottle with a spray top, making it easy to apply, and the liquid consistency spreads smoothly over skin. The formula contains 20% Picaridin, which is recommended by health authorities and is known to be DEET-free, water- and sweat-resistant, and safe for use on children over 2 years old. In terms of performance, it did a good job repelling midges, especially when I applied a thick, even layer to exposed skin. Despite sitting in literal clouds of midges, I only got a few bites on areas I’d covered. However, the claim of “up to 8 hours of protection” didn’t hold up in my experience and I found I needed to reapply after a few hours. Given the small bottle size and the need for generous application, it can run out quickly if you’re relying on it alone. I’d recommend pairing it with a midge net for your face, which I used and found very effective. The spray is pleasantly scented, non-greasy, and didn’t irritate my skin.

Reliable Midgie Defence – A Must-Have for the Scottish Outdoors
Reliable Midgie Defence – A Must-Have for the Scottish Outdoors I bought the Smidge Insect Repellent Cream ahead of a recent trip to the Highlands, and I’m so glad I did. With Scotland’s notorious midgie population, I needed something that really worked, and Smidge absolutely delivered. The cream goes on smoothly without feeling greasy, and the scent is surprisingly pleasant – not overpowering or chemical-heavy like some other repellents. What really impressed me was its staying power. I was outdoors for hours, walking through wooded and lochside areas where midges were swarming, and I came away bite-free. It held up well even when I started to sweat or got caught in a drizzle, which makes it ideal for hiking and camping. The fact it also protects against ticks, mosquitoes, and horse flies is a real bonus. It’s safe for the whole family (over 30 months), which gives peace of mind, especially if you're travelling with kids. I now keep a tube in my rucksack during spring and summer. Whether you're out walking, gardening, or just enjoying a summer BBQ, this is a brilliant product for anyone living in or visiting midgie country.

Very good against Greek mosquito
Just returned from 2 weeks in Greece only 2 mosquito bites - second day,on my back where I hadn't used Smidge. From then on made sure I was covered and no more bites. It smells nice and seemed to act as a moisturiser too.

Buy it, buy two, buy your whole family one because wow
Still on holiday in Mexico now using this and had to write a review because wow!!! As someone who always gets bitten alive this is life changing for holidays! The one day I didn’t use this I did get bitten and now I’m realising just how great it is! Giving me confidence back for being out in the evenings or around trees on holiday ( I know that probably sounds silly)

Didn't really work for me
Wore this religiously when on holiday in Mallorca. Got eaten alive by mozzies, ended up with over 20 painful bites, around half of which I had big allergic reactions to. Tried this because it seemed high quality but will be switching back to trusty Jungle Formula
