LG SJ2 Soundbar with 2.1 Channel 160 W Speaker Set, Black

Purchased due to relatively small size to fit under a 43 inch Samsung and favourable reviews such as from Which. Quite happy with choice. Sound quality is good, adequate for small lounge. Separate woofer gives good bass that can be boosted for films and music. Easy enough to set up and pleased it works from the Virgin remote. No graph or bars showing sound level , just an indication of increase or decrease volume but that's no real problem for me. Maybe not suitable for bigger room ? For me it was a good choice especially for the money.

Sound quality is good. I'm using it on a gaming system and it gives high quality sound with plenty of bass from the (wireless) sub-woofer. I've not got the bass on max but it's great. The sub-woofer does obviously need a power cable so I've ended up with a 7 things plugged into a double power point, worth considering. I have not noticed much stereo effect but that might be my placement, due to lack of space it's behind the TV and not square-on to me. And partly enclosed by the walls. It seems to have two speakers in the ends pointing outwards, one of which is blocked by a wall so that's probably it. Build quality is excellent, very solid. Ease of use - inputs are 3.5mm jack, USB, Bluetooth or optical. I've gone for optical and it just works. The unit also powers on and off automatically (not sure if that works for the 3.5mm jack). It doesn't come with any of the cables though. No regrets after over one year of use.

This is an excellent sound bar . I have it connected to my LG 3D TV in my bedroom , via a digital optical audio cable . I enjoy listening to audio CDs via an LG blu-ray player , and the sound is fuller , more richer , than you get with normal TV speakers . I listened to ABBA's CD Voyage and it sounds fantastic . The sub-woofer pairs automatically and gives a pleasant 'rumble' sound . The sound bar is also good when you are watching a DVD movie . The remote control is dinky and simple to use . Recommended !

It's trivially easy to set up, and I've but the subwoofer behind the TV out of sight. The soundbar sits beneath the TV. When the TV is switched on, the soundbar comes on, and I can control the sound with the TV remote. I haven't needed to use the soundbar's remote control much, other than to set bass level and source. For films the sound is rich and clear, with a decent enough bass to shake the house if you want that. Playing music by bluetooth is a breeze. Size-wise, it it in't hugely bulky or wide so won't look out of place but gives enough of a stereo effect.

The audio on my small LG was poor, and I thought I might improve it by buying one of those much vaunted sound bar. Well, this one has excellent bass, and it works extremely well as a Bluetooth speaker. However, for me, someone whose hearing is not as good as it used to be, the all-important mid-range and high sound are lacking. One might have been able to compensate if there were some tone controls (either in hardware or thru software), but no. An ordinary Roberts radio can produce spoken sound that I can understand. Why can't this soundbar?

My television is eight years old now with pretty mediocre speakers, this has given it a new lease of life! Very easy to set up with the bar connecting automatically to the subwoofer, also via bluetooth to my MacBook so i can now use it for music as well! Cables on both the speaker and subwoofer are maybe three foot so bear that in mind for your set up. One thing i thought to mention for using any speaker equalisation/amplification app such as Boom 2, make sure you turn this off before using the speaker as it really distorts the audio. had me thinking it was broken before i figured out it was the app.

The sound bar was delivered as promised. Came from Germany through Fedex and then DPD with a delivery slot that was achieved. The sound bar is a budget item and is compact but does every thing it says with sub woofer excellent for cinema. Also good sound for spotify etc. through blue tooth. The recommended connection is the optical - you will have to buy an optical cable - not supplied. It does not have a hdmi arc port as you might find in a more expensive item. At the budget price it does well for sound auality - you may pay much more and get more sophistication, power and quality of sound - but if you want a compact sound bar that delivers good quality sound I recommend it. Also the fact it was sent from Germany caused no issue as it arrived as promised it good time.

After just 2 years my Samsung soundbar and sub woofer decided to stop working (or the bluetooth failed between the 2) also the soundbar had a habit of vibrating on certain words. Anyway enough of that My LG Sound bar and subwoofer arrived and with in 10 mins I was up and running connected by bluetooth (smart TVs) otherwise you will need an optical lead (not supplied). The sound is excellent and it is worth the money The sound bar connects via bluetooth to my Samsung TV and it will connect to all Smart TVs as long as they have bluetooth connectivity. Samsung wanteds me to call out an engineer to fix the problem which would cost at least £70 just to step thru the door plus the repair, this was £85 and post free so there you go

Ottimo prodotto, pagato 109 euro. Aggiungere un subwoofer ad una tv già aumenta di molto l esperienza acustica soprattutto durante i film, anche gli alti e medi sono ben proporzionati, i 160w rms si sentono in un salotto di 35mq, a massimo volume permette l effetto vetri vibranti tanto amato a chi adora i film d azione. Connessioni ottica, aux, usb e bluetooth, design elegante, buona qualità audio. Lo ho collegato tramite uscita ottica al decoder di sky, non avendola sulla tv oramai un po' vecchiotta, purtroppo in questo modo non riesco ad escludere l audio della tv e devo quindi usare 2 telecomandi, ma alzando il volume tv si alza anche quello della soundbar, e non viceversa. Proverò anche tramite cavo aux a collegarlo con l uscita audio della tv, ma non avrei voluto perdere il dolby digital, vedrò cosa riuscirò a fare, in ogni caso per questo prezzo è ottimo! Allego foto, il sub ho dovuto posizionarlo in orizzontale in quanto non entrava in altro modo.

La barra es estupenda. Vamos a dejarnos de historias. En un piso normal no puedes ponerla ni a un tercio de potencia si no quieres que tu vecindario te deje de hablar. Con un cable óptico de cinco euros la mejora respecto a los altavoces de la tele es brutal. Las voces suenan claras y los bajos profundos. Se configura muy fácil y puede interactuar con otras fuentes de sonido además de la tele. Con el cable óptico no necesitas usar más que el mando de la tele, siempre que ésta sea de marca conocida. Al menos con Samsung funciona. Aquí hay mucho iluminado que necesita demostrar su máster en ingeniería de sonido. Para la mayoría de mortales por este precio nos basta. Una estupenda opción.

Das Klangempfinden der Käufer sind vielfältig, Ich finde die Soundbare mit Subwoofer sehr gut. Die Klangeinstellung über die TV Fernbedienung meines Fernsehers bezieht sich nur auf die Wiedergabe über die internen Lautsprecher, außer die Lautstärke und Ein/Aus Funktion ist bei Bluetooth- und optischen Betrieb durch Kopplung der Soundbar über den Fernseher über die LG Magic Remotefernbedienung meines LG Fernsehers möglich, toll. Die Tonübertragung über optischen Ausgang oder Bluetooth bei dem der Klang nicht einstellbar ist, dadurch ist es wichtig, das die Soundbar eigene Einstellungen hat wie Lautstärke und etwas Klangeinstellung. Durch die Performens der Soundbar werden die fehlenden Bässe bei der Wiedergabe über den Tv Lautsprecher durch den Subwoofer sehr gut verbessert, die Höhen sind trotz nur zwei Lautsprecher für die mittleren ünd hohen Töne. sehr gut! Die Leistungsfähigkeit offenbart sich vor allem durch die Wiedergabe über Smartphone oder Tablet, da diese Geräte eine Klangeinstellung haben und die Lautstärke höher als bei meinen LG Fernseher ist. Die Leistungsangabe bezieht sich auf einer RMA Norm die mit der damaligen HiFi Norm wenig gemein hat. Die Lautstàrke von 160 Watt nach RMS ist gut, wobei der Basslautsprecher 100 Watt wiedergibt und der Rest über die zwei Mittel/Hochtöner und dadurch erreicht die Soundbar einen homogenen Klang mit druckvollen Bässen wiedergibt. Toll ist, das die Fernbedienung eine Cinemataste (Basstaste) hat um den Ton klangvoller wiederzugeben. eine Auto Power on Taste, die Funktion bewirkt eine automatische Aktivierung nach dem Einschalten, bei mir durch optischer Verbindung mit den Fernseher. Verwende die Soundbar über den optischen Eingang, leider kein Kabel mitgeliefert. Die Taste, DRC on, bewirkt eine bessere Dynamik der Tonqualität, wenn die Tondynamik vom Fernseher etwas flach ist. In dieser Preisklasse ist die Tonwiedergabe wirklich sehr gut. Hatte vorher eine 2.0 Soundbar gehabt, die ein sehr gutes Klangbild hatte aber in den Bässen schwächelte. Diese Soundbar hat einen kabellosen Bassreflex-Lautsprecher in einem Holzgehäuse mit ca.100 Watt RMS Leistung, ich denke Musikleistung, die den Klang in den tiefen Tönen sehr verbessert aber auch etwas nachdröhnt und dadurch boombastic wirkt, was viele Käufer bevorzugen, kommt darauf an wo der Supwoofer aufgestellt wird! Um die Höhen besser wiederzugeben muß man die Soundbar in Richtung des Hörers ausrichten, da die Lautsprecher in der Soundbar die Höhen in nur einen relative kleinen Abstrahlwinkel wiedergibt. Die Soundbar ist trotzdem gut angepasst an die Tonwiedergabe des Fernsehers über den optischen und auch den bluetooth Ausgang. Die Soundbars mit mehr Leistung 300 Watt aufwärts braucht man nur für große Räume, oder wenn der Fernseher eine zu geringe Lautstärke über den optischen oder Bluetooth Ausgang liefert, oder natürlich wenn man einfach mehr Lautstärke möchte. Nachdem sich mein Nachbar über zu hohe Bässe beschwert hatte, habe ich weiche Schaumstofffüße an der Unterseite der Bassbox aufgeklebt und dadurch erreicht, daß die Bässe nichtmehr so über den Schrank und dadurch auch über die Wände übertragen werden. Habe dieses Produkt gekauft, da die Soundbar super unter meinen 32 Zoll Fernseher passt. Bin voll zufrieden mit den Kauf, Preis/Leistung sehr gut. Man sieht auch die Qualität, da der Preis nicht sinkt, eher steigt, habe diese Soundbar knapp unter 100 € gekauft und der Preis ist bis jetzt stark gestiegen.
