Perfect, works better than the useless Dell docks, even with Dell laptops
As above, had a 41 day (and still not resolved) issue with Dell and I've given up and bought this and it just works... perfectly... every time.

(Mostly) Trouble free USB4 (thunderbolt compatible) dock
Usb4 docking stationTested on a framework13 AMD and dell xps 9570 (intel 9th gen)For me I don’t need thunderbolt certification usb4 is good enough and the ports for 4k hdmi on both is good enough along with power delivery.Framework 13 running 22.04 gave me issues, blank screens and system crashes on the two rear ports however live disks and usb 3.2 on the right hand side (amd 7k series have weird USB c layouts) was fine and ran both monitors plus the 2.5G nic while receiving power.Live disk of 24.04 picked this up without an issue however and just worked, I’ll try to update when I eventually move over. The XPS worked fine across the board, runs from USB-C power although this laptop cant pull the full amount from the wall so occasionally get the discharging/charging issue but that is the laptops fault. The two screws for the dock are a nice touch also as the cables are sensitive to insertion issues. As a bonus I also managed to get this working with the LCD steamdeck and got single screen docking without an issue, all things such as NIC etc worked fine. Have not tested desktop mode though so its unclear if two screens would work or not in that mode.Overall I miss not having an audio jack but have adaptors for that. Happy with the dock, its power delivery and seems mostly trouble free running 2x 1080 adaptors. Be aware that casing is plastic and not metal as it might initially appear. As expected from Startech a quality product that works on most things with minimal hassle (docks can always be a bit of hassle)Notes:Powerbrick is battery bank sized, make sure you have space for it.Cable is about 1m long, make sure you have space from your device for it to reach. No audio jack (i have a cheap portable dock i use for this in a c-port)No upstream thunderbolt/highspeed (10gbps only)

Power supply went BANG within a couple of minutes
The media could not be loaded. The power supply made a spluttering sound for a few moments, and then there was a loud bang and a huge flash from the mains in the socket!Sorry, I missed the whole drama in the video, but it does indicate the splattering sound.Lovely spec, but horrible experience. Thankfully, all the expensive equipment connected to it appears to be ok.

Very good value!
This is able to easily drive 2x 27” monitors running at 4k @60hz resolution. The 60hz bit is very important, a lot of these cheaper docks will clock at 30hz at 4k with 2 or more screens and trust me you will notice that and will feel like your mouse cursor is running through custard.Make sure when you set this up you set the refresh rate to 60hz as for some reason with mine it defaulted to 30.As always with “StarTech.com” the quality is very good and would personally go for this brand over some generic Chinese one.I think people who complain about lag.etc need to remember that driving multiple 4k screens is the equivalent of 4 1080p displays (or 6x if you have 3!).Chances are the crappy generic laptop work gave you is going to have a bad time with this, regardless which dock you have.Very good connectivity with a selection of USB-C and regular USB on both the front and back as well as a 3.5mm input/output jack.

Couldn’t get this to work. Now in a draw
Couldn’t get this to work across 3 monitors and gave up and it’s now in a drawer. May try again at some point when I have some patience 🤣Checked laptop (work and personal) and both say they support up to 3 monitors.

Great KVM with power to both laptops
My requirement was to have 2 laptops being able to use 2 monitors. This worked!! Just plug in a usb-c cable into each laptop, hook up the monitors and any accessories (i have a keyboard, mouse, JABRA conference speaker and a Logitech webcam) and I’m able to switch between laptops at the click of a button - it even powers both laptops through the same cable.Fabulous! This was the 3rd one I’d tried, the cheaper ones all seemed be better suited to desktop PCs as they needed 2 video out cables from the PC to the dock - I tried all configurations and adapters but couldn’t get 2 monitors connected at the same time.So although it is expensive it does exactly what I wanted it to do, and I can now use both mine and my client’s laptop.
