Great Lock
This is my second Yale digital lock. This one has even smaller front and additional button to disable keyboard - handy when locking door for a night. We replaced high security (flat key) lock just to avoid carrying keys. Installation is very easy, but I made mistake by installing batteries too early to program it before installing on the door. When first powered lock is checking if door is left or right hinged and being on the desk it guessed wrong. It was easy to rectify and it was my fault for not following instructions. It is amazing that this lock speaks helping to set it up. Also hardware for all door sizes is included. My previous Yale still works fine for almost two years on the original four alkaline AA batteries. Having two digital locks and garage opener keypad eliminates keys and is very safe, especially when Yale lock can be powered with 9V battery from the outside. My older Yale is on the door facing West and gets extremely hot with direct Florida sun but works flawlessly. Great product.

Convenient, Secure, and Easy to Use
The Yale Security Deadbolt Lock is a fantastic upgrade to my home’s security! The satin nickel finish is sleek and complements my door perfectly, giving it a modern, stylish look. The keyless entry feature is incredibly convenient, allowing me to easily enter my home without fumbling for keys. The digital keypad touchscreen is intuitive and responsive, making it quick to set my personal code for access. I love the security and peace of mind that comes with the lock. The code entry system means I can grant access to trusted individuals without worrying about lost or stolen keys. Plus, the lock is easy to install and doesn’t require complex wiring or professional installation. This product offers great value for money, excellent functionality, and is easy to use. If you're looking for a secure, modern, and convenient door lock, I highly recommend the Yale Security Deadbolt Lock! Highly recommend!

Works well with Homekit iM1 module
This YRD-256 is my second Yale lock. Previously I owned a YRD–240 with a Z-Wave module for six years. It was sturdy and reliable without any issues (to this very day it works great) and it paired well with SmartThings. Since then I’ve become a convert to HomeKit for several reasons I won’t go into here. While this one doesn’t use the new Apple HomeKey feature, I’ve come to trust Yale locks and the price point was easy to swallow. This was a logical upgrade for me as it slides right into HomeKit. For this upgrade, I purchased the iM1 module separately and received my lock from Amazon in one day. Installation was easy although it was similar to my last lock. HomeKit setup was, of course, pleasantly simple and fast, even for a HomeKit appliance. After connecting, HomeKit suggested three scenes and three automations. I turned on all but one. The Yale app tracks my family’s PIN codes and keeps a log of use. Sadly it does not allow a temporary code or an auto expire feature. Man, this would be a great feature. But otherwise, it is elegant and reliably functional using the Yale app, HomeKit, or Siri. If it holds up as well as my last Yale lock I am going to be very pleased with the value of this purchase.

Does the job, i havent had any issues but i know alot of other people have.
We bought this look 6 months back or so. Shes cute, she does the job. After reading all the other reviews though, it seems like people have some issues here and there. So far its worked for us. Just do your research before buying. Dont just go off the brand name

Very good deadbolt lock. I have another deadbolt from Eufy that is wifi connected and very often it doesn’t work. This one is my favorite, it works like a charm

Great on paper but completely lacks reliability !
We bought these "smart" keypads for our home by the beach where we also host guests on occasion. They have been installed by a professional handyman to make sure there would be no hiccups. To say our experience with Yale is a disappointment is a major understatement ! 1. Beware these locks do not have any remote capability without a WiFi bridge and module. And each lock needs its own WiFi bridge/module. Those bridges only connect on 2.4Gh networks and regularly disconnects 2. some essential functions are not accessible remotely. To simply turn on/off auto-lock you need to be present and use your BT connection 3. If you program a temporary code for a guest, it will pick on the time zone you are in and not where the lock is registered 4. Now we get to where things go really bad, it's the complete lack of RELIABILITY of these devices. The locks regularly disconnected and needed a full reset several times. Because the bridge needed to be so close to the lock and is so sensitive to interference it took us some figuring out to find a spot where they operate with only minor inconvenience (still disconnect but reconnects itself without reset). We had to return one lock and one WiFi bridge because they stopped working. That simple! Then one keypad just got dead after 5 months and we had to call a locksmith to get in ($184 out of our pocket). For those thinking it, it was not the batteries...plain dead, unresponsive keypad and no key hole. Then last night another keypad started acting out and refused to engage a valid code. And remotely opening the door didn't work...All Yale customer service is their apologies and send a new lock. STAY AWAY from those keyless locks, they will cause you more troubles than anything. Will replace the three of them with a Schlage, never Yale again !

3rd Purchase of this Same Lock
These locks are reasonably priced and very easy to use. I had them professionally installed, so no comment there, but I've got them on 2 houses now and it makes life so much easier! I can just give people the code and I don't have to worry about losing house keys or giving them to guests. I have a DIFFERENT combo lock on my primary residence and it's much too complicated and as a result it's really difficult to use correctly and I'm the only person in my household who can actually use it. That's why I love the Yale Assure Deadbolt. Highly recommended.

Te recomiendo ver un tutorial de instalación, para que verifiques que tu puerta cumple con las características necesarias, y si es así te la recomiendo al 100%.

Can’t use the smart function in the UK (smart module almost unobtainable here)… Talked to Yale, they asked why it was being sold here! It’s made for the US…

This is our second Yale Assure lock. We had the same lock, along with the Wi-Fi module at our previous home and left it when we moved. I was really happy with the first one and couldn’t wait to get another one. It’s a bit challenging to set up because the doors never seem to be 100% compatible. Takes a bit of finesse. But once it’s set up, it’s so easy to use and, when used with the network module, works great on Wi-Fi with the Apple Home app. Unlock the door before you leave the car. Give the kids and guests their own passcodes. Auto-lock after a set period of time so you never have to worry that you forgot. Best of all, throw your house key away.
