Gods and Thrones: Nachash, Forgotten Prophecy, & the Return of the Elohim

I'm only halfway through at this point, but felt compelled to recommend this book. I don't always give 5 star ratings, but this is a top notch book, with great explanations and scriptural support to prove each point he makes. I went to a Bible college, and study non-stop, but haven't ever studied these aspects of scripture. I have to admit that after reading the sample here, there were so many questions on that intro chapter that I feared that it might be unreadable. However, I still bought it, and am thankful that I did. The rest of the book is clear, well-written and enjoyable. Each chapter is packed with good information, but not too long, so you can read the book straight through, or read a chapter or two a day to savor it like a bible study.

Great book. In these times I believe strongly that every believer should know the Jewish roots of our faith, without it nothing makes sense. No wonder I (and so many) never “got it” as I grew up in the secular world. Without starting from the beginning and understanding , the fall of man in the garden and our disobedience, it’s hard to grasp the most important part..the REASON for our need for a savior and how God provided that..I love listening to Pastor Gallups, his enthusiasm and teachings are captivating! Excited for the next one (Ground Zero) to be released.

I bought this book when it first came out after hearing Mr. Gallups in an interview with Lyn Leahz. After reading it, I have bought it several times for family members. It is a fanomilnal book! Before I wrote this review, I read some of the low star ratings. NO WHERE in this book does it say we will become like gods. It goes to show many people who write reviews either don't read the book or just want to criticize truth! And yes it does use a multitude of sources, they are to back himself up, if he didn't do that, he would be criticized he didn't. It's a no win situation. Read the book yourselves! It is one of the best and easiest to understand books I've read. Even a non-believer can understand it...which is why I have continued to purchase it for others.

This is a pretty good book but flawed by traditions of men. This stuff is much better than the modern Church but Carl doesn't have a clue who or what Satan is. Carl tries to sell that the King of Tyre as being Satan and asked "Do visions of a golden calf come to mind?" Yes Carl, but not a dragon, serpent of old etc as Rev 20::2 states- And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. Not a calf, Carl. With a little more study the only conclusion is that Satan is a Seraphim not a Cherub, so the Cherub called King of Tyre is another entity which was in the Garden like the Assyrian. Now for Lucifer being Satan, is really nonsense as Satan and all the Host are the sons of God, not born nor son of morning/Venus/shachar who was already in Heaven, so didn't need to ascend. Lucifer is most probably a Nephilim king and very closely resembles Nimrod. Other than what's pointed out above, a novice will learn a lot from this book as the Church is in such sorry shape with doctrine of devils.

For born-again believers in the risen Christ (if you're not one, the next paragraph is for you), read it once then read it again, more slowly. My first reading was a constant discovery process where my eyes were continuing on to the next revelatory understanding of Elohim (God) and the elohim (gods), while my brain was distracted trying to grasp the last revelatory understanding presented by the author and pastor, Carl Gallups. Consequently, during my first reading, I missed (and I suspect you will to) significant parts of what is unveiled by "Gods & Thrones." The bible-reading believer probably has seen most of what Pastor Gallups teaches about gods and thrones but has not understood nor put all the pieces of the "puzzle" together to grasp the full scope and eternal significance of the heavenly council, the earthly family, and man's part in both. The second reading the eyes and brain pour over the text in unison, more fully grasping Elohim, the elohim, and the wealth of Biblical and modern events incorporated into the book that clearly demonstrate the teachings of the Bible about the gods and thrones of our world and heaven. For the non-believer, "God & Thrones" probably will read like science fiction or fantasy. I don't know if he or she can begin to comprehend what Pastor Gallups presents in his book; but it's well worth the try! There is some hope the non-believer will comprehend what Pastor Gallups teaches because there currently seems to be a significant interest in the spiritual world - at least based on the success of numerous spirit-world types of television programs and specials being broadcast today. The challenge the non-believer will have when reading "Gods & Thrones" is that the spiritual powers presented in these spirit-world programs really are present in the world and really do influence our lives (albeit, portrayed accurately in "Gods & Thrones"). I suspect for some this will be outrageous or just hard to swallow. For others it may be revelatory. Regardless of whether you are a believer or non-believer, I believe "Gods & Thrones" will rock your world!

This is s good book, it was hard to put down. There is a lot of information in it. But do follow with the scriptures no matter what you are reading and make sure it is biblically based, not just someone's opinion. There are many, many verses of scripture quoted in this book, so do look them up. I learned quite a bit from the reading it and I got a better understanding on some things I didn't quite understand before. But I was also left with a few questions. I recommend this read.

Wow!!! What a thought provoking book to explain in detail the deceptions upon the Church. We have been lied to by the enemy for way to long. Thank you Carl Gallups for all the long hours of study you put forth in this book! The way of every believer needs to be reading and studying the Word of God so that we are not deceived by the evil one. I so enjoyed this timely book. A must read especially in the times we now live.

Carl Gallups is a phenomenal author and I love his books. Great job on bringing new insights to our attention. Very important material for today's world. I highly recommend this book to those who are seeking information about the ancient gods and what is going on in the world today from a Biblical perspective. I've been studying this topic for several years and this book lines right up with the likes of Michael Heiser, Derek Gilbert, Tom Horn and Steve Quayle. A great addition to my library.
