My wife love doing these and is planted all the seeds at this point We cannot speak on all of the trees but the ones that she planted and followed instructions in doing so have not all had time to grow yet, but the flame tree has already started growing in rapidly. That's the one in the pictures. The empty pots are trees. We're still waiting on recommend looking up instructions. It did not come with any. It would be a great gift. Easy to use and if all the trees come in very beautiful at a great great value and if these beginning trees are any indication these are high quality as well and my wife would like me to tell all of you that bonsai trees are not a special tree. They are a tree. Check your zone. You may even be able to plant it in your front yard

2nd Update: After 60 days, which is beyond the guarantee, only ONE seed in 300 sprouted!! :( After 2 months for only the 1 to sprout in the fridge. I just planted it in peat the other day and the only thing sprouting up now is mold. I'm so sad - especially bc it took an entire wknd to prepare all these seeds (with soaking, boiling, cleaning w peroxide to prevent mold - yet I still got mold - carefully labeling everything, scarification with abrasive things like nail file and sandpaper, and WAY over 2 weeks in the fridge). I know others had great success but I'm wondering if the package I was sent was old 😢 I wish I could get a new pack to try again with but a 30-day guarantee over seeds is nonsense anyway, considering the length of time it takes for seeds to sprout. 1st Update: After a great deal of time-intensive work, I prepared all the seeds as best I could. I cleaned w hydrogen peroxide, tested the seeds to see if any remained floating after 12-24 hrs, boiled some and used a nail file for others for scarification,... I labeled everything painstakingly detailed and organized and placed in the fridge to sprout on damp papertowels inside ziplock bags ... NONE have sprouted yet, and we are talking over 100 seeds I prepped to sprout. I'm so bummed out and can't believe that out of hundreds of seeds, not even 1 has sprouted - and it's been over 6 weeks. It's a great deal and gift but only IF you can get them to sprout. So, good luck! Fyi, I'm not a seed starter beginner so idk what happened. Instead of rating just 1 star I gave 2 stars bc even though none of mine sprouted, that was advertised was still exactly what was sent. Original Review: It arrives as one package with different small bags of well-labeled seeds inside. There are no instructions included - only the names of each seed type, which did not upset me as it has others in reviews, so if this is for a beginner gardener I recommend that you include your own instructions, book or supplies to start seeds, etc. A very easy way to build your own seed starter gift for someone! Seeds look healthy and for the price, you get a lot! I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because I've not yet started them yet, just arrived

For the price I expected minimal to no germination but gave it a shot. No instructions provided whatsoever. For best results you should google the proper scarification and stratification process for each type of tree as they should not all be grown the same. About half of my seeds only needed a 24 hour soak to germinate while the other half need a few weeks of stratification in the fridge, and still others require a harsh scarification process such as soaking in near-boiling water to crack the tough outer shell. Beyond the lack of instructions and a ton of of your own research needed I am impressed by the seeds. So far its been only two weeks since I started the germination process so I was not expecting any results yet. However all 6/6 Wisteria have germinated and are growing well. Some Bauhinia have germinated earlier than expected. No other germination noted, but it is still to early to call it quits. There was an issue I had with this product and another both coming with Dawn Redwood seeds. However both seeds looked entirely different. After doing some research I found that this product had the correct seed labeling while the other product from a different seller was incorrect.

Very few seeds actually sprout even after lookin up proper directions for each variety the ones that did are doing great though

Used For: Growing a variety of bonsai trees from seed, including both flowering and evergreen types. Experience: Very disappointing results. Out of the entire pack of 300+ seeds, only one seed sprouted while the rest failed to germinate. Despite following proper planting and care instructions, the majority showed no growth. Summary: Unreliable seed quality. The idea of getting multiple bonsai varieties is appealing, but the poor germination rate makes this product a letdown. Price Value: Not worth the cost considering almost none of the seeds grew as advertised.

My flame tree seeds sprouted within days of planting. I did have to look up the best ways for germination and alot of the different tree species are refrigerated to trick the seed into going through winterization, so I can't say much for the other seeds but I feel so far it was worth the buy.

Sonit was super tough to get most of these to sprout. And usually I am really good at getting sprouts. The the 2 trees I got to sprout are doing amazing though! I love them! I have a small pine and a flame tree!

First, there was absolutely no documentation included with the seeds — no instructions, no germination tips, not even a basic guide. Bonsai seeds often require specific conditions like stratification, scarification, or soaking, so proper instructions are critical. Since none were provided, I spent hours researching and experimenting with various methods to germinate these seeds: cold stratification in the fridge, soaking, warm stratification, using seed trays, humidity domes, different soil mixes — you name it, I tried it over the last four months. Despite my best efforts, **not a single seed has sprouted**. I understand that germination can be tricky, but with *300+ seeds* from supposedly viable, heirloom varieties, I would expect at least a few to sprout if they were good quality. I feel this is misleading and a waste of time, money, and effort. Overall, I cannot recommend this product. If you’re serious about growing bonsai from seed, look for a reputable seller that provides clear, detailed germination instructions and seeds that actually sprout. It is wasted time & money !
