can you use this on painted cupboards

I suppose you could but the largest jar I found is only 4 oz and it would require a significant number of jars to accomplish that on a cupboard, unless it’s a miniature door.

Would this work on a wood project?

I have only used it on paper products. Although, you could test it on a scrap of wood first. I would think that it would work fine on wood. There are other brands out there at craft stores such as Folk Art Crackle Medium, although, you must use a base coat for that product to work. I prefer the texture past. But it may depend on you substrate.Hope this helps.

Can this be used on fabric?

Yes, if it won’t be laundered......but will not hold up in laundering. Great for a display piece though!
