Left Side Chrome Inside Interior Door Handle Repair Kit

If you own certain Mercedes automobiles from the mid 2010's, you are going to eventually have this problem: you reach for the door handle and it's suddenly floppy. You can't open the door except by using the exterior door handle -- from the inside. What's happened is a little piece has broken off the back of your door handle and the rod that opens the door is no longer attached to anything you can pull. Luckily, this is a super easy fix. There's several tutorials on YouTube for removing the door panel and then this handle is a couple of screws and then you just put the rod in the hole on the handle and button everything back up. It took me no more than 15 minutes. If you have never taken a door panel off before it might take you 30 minutes including the time to watch the YouTube video. Couldn't have been easier and looks just like it did when it was new.

Let's be real, the price is good, works perfectly fine and was shipped quickly. If it happens to my other door I'm buying again from the seller.

Door handle fit perfectly. I called my local MB dealership, and they were going to charge me $750 for labor, and $1,300 for the complete driver's side door panel, because they do not repair the handle-theynreolace the whole panel. This is crazy. Over $2,000 for something I was able to replace for under $20. This product looked just like the original, and worked just like the original. Good job, good product.

The part itself worked perfectly, and includes all the screws needed to complete the repair. The process is somewhat complicated, but I was able to find several videos that showed how to do it. I highly recommend picking up a simple set of plastic trim removal tools if you don't already own some, there is a lot of prying out trim and clips involved in this repair. The fiddliest bit is to free up an oddball square plastic retention clip with a tiny screwdriver or dental pick and a pry bar. After freeing up the trim panel you end up having to drill out 20 plastic melted fastener points, which is what the included screws are for. Took around an hour and a half all in all. The handle is plastic, just like the original, so eventually this problem will probably re-occur, but considering that it took 14 years for it to break the first time, that is probably acceptable.

I broke my door handle on my 2011 c300 Mercedes. The people said $650 to fix. 😪 I bought this and paid $100 to put it in saved alot. It's off a lil but not noticeable. Good buy.

Replacing the MBZ C300 interior door handle is the definition of a PITA. MBZ has used melted fasteners (20 of them) to fabricate the door panel. Each one needs to be carefully drilled out in order to access that portion of the door which retains the interior door handle. This job requires patience and an intermediate skill level. YouTube has several vids which provide step-by-step instructions. Definitely not for beginners. However, when completed, the new handle worked flawlessly. For the $27 cost, an absolute winner. MBZ wanted $900 plus to replace the interior door panel!
